How important is your final high school transcript?

this! but I must say that most AP teachers are dicks at least the ones I've had but AP exams are next week? kinda late on trying to bring ur grade up haha but worth a shot!
 
I am so fed up with people claiming "basically Ivy League" or "same as Harvard." It isn't. They aren't. Stop trying to make them something they are not. The Ivy League was a league of some of the first colleges and universities. It was a sporting league. Yes, the Ivy League carries with it a great deal of prestige. No, these other schools are not Ivy League. They are not Harvard on the Hudson, or Harvard in Alabama. There is no Yale of South Dakota. Stop feeling inadequate and trying to compensate. You didn't get into an Ivy League School.
Other schools have programs as good as if not better than some Ivy League programs. Stanford is certainly in the same realm. If you cannot be content saying Wesleyan without adding a qualifying statement, then clearly you are not happy with your choice.
 
He didn't at all say that. He just said it's academically of similar caliber. Are you a student at an Ivy League school? If so, don't be such a stuck up asshole.
 
Well stated. You're better off looking up your prospective program and seeing where it stacks up on a national scale. For instance, my undergrad university is nowhere near the level of prestiege of an ivy, but at the same school the MBA program is on par with the big boys. take pride in your school!
 
I've noticed that the people who showed up late to class nonstop in high school while claiming the teachers hated them are the same ones who lasted 1 semester in college.

There's also a fairly consistent correlation between late in high school and skipping class in college.

oh, and i hate to burst the bubble so many high schoolers dream of, but attendance is actually required in a lot of college classes. For credit, and quite a few professors will drop you from courses if you miss a certain number. And trust me, that number of skips is veeeeeery easy to reach.

I had the class first hour or first thing in the morning. I also work till 11 every night washing dishes at a pizza place. Sometimes I have al of of extra homework and need to sleep in 20 minutes. There you go. Obviously I wouldn't be late if I was already at school. And just to let all you ass fucks know who are hating based on the fact they think I'm a a lazy son of a bitch, I studied for 8 hours straight for the classes final, aced it, and now have a b in the class.

Nobody is getting emotional they are just stating that you come off as a tool and you should quit bitching about your teachers and start doing your work and putting some effort into your schoolwork, then your teacher won't hate you. If you took the hardest AP Lit class then your teacher should expect you to be one of the hardest working English students in your school, start acting like it.

Damn, you must be so smart and experienced with your "just wait till you get out into the real world speech." being 5 minutes late to class once a week is really no big deal in the spectrum of things, and at a job it's a normal occurrence for most people. I should have a bias against me due to it. And what makes you think I haven't been out in the real world? What makes you so much more experienced than me and to be able to speak to me in such a condescending manner?
 
not gonna lie tho, if he works till 11 and doesn't fall asleep till 12, and gets up at 6 every morning to get ready...that's not even healthy. you're supposed to get 8 hours of sleep.

That's pretty common for me, and I'm stil in highschool. I would get up for school at 6, get home at 3:30, leave for work at 4:30, get home at 10:15, and easily have two hours of homework. And I made it work getting all a's and b's

but your final one doesn't matter worth a shit, the one that matters is the one at the end of your junior year seeing as you are applying that summer and through the beginning of your senior year and they only want complete courses, atleast thats how it was for us in Minnesota.....nobody gave a fuck senior year not even the way smart kids.
