they are pretty light, but not the lightest. They would probably be as good as any twintip for hitting rails

heavy as a fuckin rock the last time i felt them but yeah if u really wanted too you could hit rails with race skis. so yes they would work on rails

8.5 pounds in the 179 length, not mounted, but out of the wrapper. Thats for the pair, not 1.

they arent light, but they arent heavy.  it sucks cause they only come in a 169 which is pretty short, and a 179 which is pretty long,  but since they are so stiff and good on jumps you could get away with a 169.  if your looking for a rail ski though get something else.

they are such awesome skis for jumps, they are definatly not beginner skis.  they are probably my favorite skis ive ever had on jumps the size stiffness, sidecut weight, everything is great for jumps.
