How hard is a backflip

I would much rather throw down a front off into some powder than a back of a kicker. I cant rely on my self to get my feet over and around on a back when im on a tramp and end up bailing to a side back kinda not flip thing... ok you guyz are prob right.

guuuuuuuuyssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaatt???????????//

definitely a frontflip is easier...and not adhering to technical methods, it's ust my perosnal opsinioasdn

backflips are way easy, i stomped it fist try. Just hit a jump that gives you enough eair that your head doesnt drag on the ground and look backwards. Throw it the same you would as if you were on a tramp

But it´s so scary when you haven´t done it before. Firsttime I will try it in the backcountry...m,aybe...

that would fucked up. you would land on your neck. just lead with your head, commit, and remember to pop.

to me, I can't launch my legs over my head off the flat and get air. maybe off a lip it will send my feet up automaticaly. I can do a diving boardback just fine.

Yep.

It's relatively easy. I basically landed it on my 2nd try ever, this kid here almost landed his on his first try, and my friend who's never even gone upside down before in his life even on a tramp attempted one and could've landed one if he hadn't gotten so scared to try again.

If you're scared have a friend film or take a pic to prove you at least tried, and then have them count down "3, 2, 1...GO!" and then point your skis. Also, try not to underrotate. It hurts sometimes. If you're afraid to underrotate, huck it.

I had a friend call me a bitch in front of a lot of people before I tried it my first time, so I couldn't bitch out. It worked, cuz now I can backie off anything. Fun stuff...

its surprising how much easier backs are than you think.all you need to do is make sure you have the right amount of pop(not too much, not too little)and make sure youre lined up and dont pop off funny.you also should tuck enough so you can spin better.once you get it on a tramp, try them skiing. make sure you choose a kicker with enough of a lip to give you the momentum you need in the right direction(the slight uprising makes it easier to flip back). sorry, im bad at explaining things but this should get you started.

my brother, who cant doing any kind of flip what soever on a trampoline or into the water, just decided to try it one day on a 30 ft jump. he landed it first try and said they were easier than a 360 if you commit to it. all you have to do is make sure your legs go above your head and everything will come together.

although i cant do backflips. im going to say that its all about confidence. if you just try it and dont pussy out, unless you are like retarded you shouldnt really get hurt to bad if the jumps fine. i tell myself this...but am still afraid haha

its all about comitting, and spotting, i dno how many half attempted backflips iv seen, they dont end well

i landed on my side/face like 4 times before landing it. then i tried to spot my tails mid-air and stomped it. just pop throw look back hard.

Have fun breaking your neck and never moving your legs again. Honestly NS what is wrong with you guys. Slinging (Throwing your weight back) backflips is a great way to kill yourself. Backflips are really easy if they are done right. All you have to do is match the curve of the jump, press your hips to the sky, spot down hill and let your feet take away your vision, tuck and at stomach drop kick out. If you seriously have no idea how to do a backflip then don't do them, and if you think by throwing yourself backwards is the right way you are beyond dumb. If you want to "huck" yourself go to the water ramps. I know they are expensive but they are way cheaper then having to hire someone to take care of you when you can no longer walk. I hate to be a nagging bitch but grow up and learn how to do the trick before you try it.

crazy fool is right,

don't just throw back

i feel that if you can do them on a tramp and you have a good feeling of your body position in the air you should be fine

when you approuch the jump, be confident have no second toughts because there is no trying to do a backflip you do them. throw your hips in the air, tuck in relax, breathe and spot your landing

this was my first try of a backflip and since i live in belgium i don't have powder to try and did it on dryslope

scary as hell but when you land you're king of the world

after a while they become real easy yet still the first of the day will be scary

backflips for sure are easier. i landed mine my first try with no poles and a shovle in my hand

I have noodles for tramp skis and i was trying them today imagining that i was going off a kicker when i did it. the first few trys my noodle tips hit the tramp but then i stomped it. im gonna do one as soon as i get enough snow in probly 5 months
