How fast you progress

last year was my first year skiing and i was doing 360 530 720 switch 360 and at the end of the year i wass able to do flair

this year until now i did unat cork 540 and and unat underflip 540 720 flair mute and all my spins have grabs in them and i trow 270s on but i got fuck up last weekend and i have a new leg growing from my thy but ill still going to try progrees as much as i can my goal is at least a switch 720 for the year

i started skiing 2 years ago. i never snowplowed...always carved. my first year i could do 3s, second year i could do 5s acassionally and good rails. now i can do 5s pretty much consistantly and i learned switch 3s and tried my first cork last weekend. my first day of the season i didastered a 4 flat down

My friend started doing rails today. He learned 270 on, switch on 270 off and unnatural slides(on a flatbar). and he almost cleaned the s-rail too. thats pretty sick for 1st time!

well i started for real last year... in one day i went from just doing straight airs off decent jumps. to 180,360, and 1 540 in the same day. add in a few boxes and rails and i would say i had a really progressive day.

it depends, sometimes i progres real fats other times slow, like it took me no time to learn jumps and 3's and stuff but rails took me forever

i just started truely park riding on saturday....first box, jump, rail

i can slide flat boxes and rails, almost got the flat down first try, 360, 180, and workin on the zero spin....i also can iron cross, daffy, and a couple other spins....but no crazy shit yet....hopefully soon

I have found it ALOT easier to progress when you session the prk over and over for like a day. When you go there for a while like for a few days you wont progress as mcuh. So i understand lots of progression in the park if you ski it alot. If i ski park all afternoon i progress.

ONLY 55 days!?!?!?

thats a hell of a lot,

my typical winter in like

10 days, maybe thats why i progress slow.

and out of those, most are shitty mountains like catamount and belleayre. i only get to good places (vermont) for about 5 days a winter, where the jumps are big enough to do stuff off of, ughh!

i HATE living so close to nyc

i have been skiing for 2-3months and ive gotten 270 on/270 off..bs switchups the other switchups..360, 180, 540 once but im working on them...i dont know how to really compare my progression because a lot of people who i ski with have been skiing for a long time

I have been skiing park for approximately 15 days(not consecutive but spread out) and I can do 3s, 1s, half cabs, flat boxes and small rails. Also, I can do almost any straight air grab except for lui kang and japan air.

mad props to that guy and dont say only 55 times a year you should thank god every day you have the chance to go 55 days a year... i go about 25 if im lucky

it´s easy to progress quickly if you have a great shaped park every day..

i also went skiing over 50 times, but i havent a great park so it´s not easy but i think so i ride bc good..

oh yeah in 2 years i learnd 270 on 630 off rodeo 7 misty 5 switch 9 switch rodeo 5 almost switch cork 9 all four 270 on 270 off of rails and more

Yeah dude I've only been skiing once and I can double rodeo, cab 1440, and hit 8 kinks. I feel like ive progressed pretty fast.

i learned rails in about two days but id been doing boxes for a long time and just never had the balls to do rails and then i did them and they were easy

55 times??? That is insane, for me i am lucky if i can make it up 20 times. But whatever, i am still perfecting my 360s and just trying every rail that looks possible, so i try to progress and get better each time i ski, and push the limit!

i try to learn a new thing every day i ski, whether it is a new grab or trick or anything. but i also try and make everything i do smooth.

and i agree with andrew, its all about attitude.

2nd day on rails/boxes and i got the c-box after a couple tries...its all about balls....if you go for it half assed you will fall...go all out and you have a good chance of nailing any trick

my first time hitting raisls i was 270 off and junk but it was probably because i was skiing with guys that were waybetter than me.

ya hes kinda like me..ive been skiing almost 2 and a half months not and i can do 3s with just about any grab, 5s,7s and i can fakie onto boxes..and next weekend on goin to work on switch ups and 270 offs and ons maybe and goin switch into rails.

ive gone maybe 20-30 times since i 50-50 a box and all i can rly do is like 360 (almost 540) 360 in pipe different rails and boxes like 46 ft battleship box and flat down flat rails and disaster other stuff

and im also workin on 270 on any tips let me kno

i started last year and hav been skiing for technically 5 months but like maybe 50 days. maybe i dunno.

yes same here :/

and I havent even been 55 times in my whole life. I am really not impressed. If he was shredding huge bc lines and doing technical stuff, then I would give it to him. Now, if you told me he just started playing basketball last year and could hit 3/5 from the yellow line every day, then I would say he is a natural athlete
