How fast you progress

You are not going to believe this but i have a friend who started skiing last year for the first time and he can 540 and 720 almost every time on big jumps too.. unnatural 360.... switch 180 and 360... natural and unnatural 270s onto boxes occasionally on rails... and unnatural slides too.. he only went 55 times last year and is one crazy motherfucker

yeah you realy just gotta have big balls to progress a lot, if you are crazy enough the shit really isnt that difficult

55 times is a lot of times... but yea that is pretty killer although I say its easier to come into a sport like this later sometimes or if you already have established ppl around you to learn from...

I started rails my first day of the season, on a very small Flat Down. I tried that twice.

The next day I went skiing, and slid a short flat rail like 8 times.

The next day, I slid a 30 foot flat rails, that was 3 feet off the ground. And on my third try, I 270'd out.

I feel like I'm progreesing pretty fast on rails. I can't wait to go try again.

awex, are u talking about me? cuz i match this description. o, i got style, guerilla style mo fucker, and my pants dont fit, plus i carry a gun!

"Only 55 times!"

For the rest of us that can only go up 25-35 times max because of horrible snow conditions and shit assed terrain parks (i speak of only the northshore mountains), then its different.

ive went skiing a total of 55 days since 2001, so now that i look at it like that its not as impressive

Yea, if you go 55 times, thats insane, ul learn to know exactly what to do if you go every single day. I progrees slow, but I only go 30 times a year.

^word, and if i could ski 55 days in a year, i would probly progress a shit load also, but around me theres not much skiing, and i only go skiing like 12 maybe like 15 days a year

as I said and everyone said before, if you can go that much then you will progress fast, this summer I wakeboarded more than ever and I learned more stuff

yeah well we live in tahoe and we go up every weekend especially since last year there was a shitload of snow starting in october so he went up alot... and yeah hes got style too.

I think in my best year I probably hit high 40s, 13-15 of those were at real mtns too, not just the local hill... if I had a real mtn nearby I'd hit it up constantly

My buddy (who has never done anything but groomers) learned how to slide natural and unnatural in under an hour in the backyard on a 15ft. long rail... No twin tips, just some old junk skis.

this is the reason people are breaking away from who can huck into who has the best style, because style is something that takes time to progress and you have to be comfortable on your skis to have style, any crazy guy can go out and learn skeettch ass pencil spins and be athletic enough to pull out of them (not to take anything away from that its still pretty hard) but to make it look good is a whole other level, and im guessig this guy isn't there yet, but hes on his way keep it up.

Cool, and I 1ed, 3ed, 5ed, a 66ft. step-up my first day jumping... No strait airs... Cork 5's are sick though.

on my like 3rd week of skiing my whole life i was about to do a 3 iron cross which is an actually good trick for around here lol but i plan on getting a 5 and all those tricks switch this year

yes i believe i know this man as well. i heard this year he was throwing double backflip, christ airs. we got it on on film but my sister taped over when she was filming her dolls. sux.

well that isn't that special! I've started skiing for two years ago.. Last season I could pull sw 1080's regular 1080's, cork 9, misty5 , sw270 270 on rails and boxes... it's just about ski as much as you can.. nothing else matters...

Some kids are just natural atheletes and are amazing at everything...i have a friend like that one year skiing rippin in with like 20 times going maybe
