offtrail, no you dont, french blows. i hate foreign language. and i think everyone should all speak one language (english or not). it slows everything down haveing to translate, and besides, i mean, it isnt hard to get anywhere in the world now, and if everyone spoke the same language it would open a lot up.

just for east-coast: je pense qu'il est nécessaire que chaque peuple puisse parler un language propre. En effet, il est culturellement enrichissant de pouvoir s'exprimer dans des langues permettant un éventail élargi de retranscription d'émotions, de sentiments, ...

il est clair quoiqu'il en soit que les européens ont inventé sle ski et que pour cela chacun d'entre nous leur doit respect. de plus, je ski beaucoup plus vite et avec une maîtrise bien supérieure à la votre.

et, bien, a mon sens, le système métrique est plus répandu car plus précis. Ainsi, imaginez-vous commander des skis auprès du vendeur en inches et en pouces? Cela semblerait plutot étrange. Après tout, cela est une question culturelle. En effet, les anglais conduisent bien à droite, ce qui, pour 90% des habitants de cette planète, semble une hérésie. Je crains cependant que dans un monde de commerce, le système le plus fréquent et usité l'emporte à la fin. Ainsi, déjà les skis sont mesurés en mètres. Je vous suggère donc à tous de garder en tête la table de conversion, sur les meusres autant que pour la monnaie par exemple.

Cela ne représente qu'une brève réflexion personnelle qui ne saurait engager que ma modeste personne.

Toujours est-il qu'il est incontestable que je suis le plus rapide skieur de cette galaxie

the metric system is easier in all honesty. its just that americans have grown up without the metric system and therefore theyre not used to it and dont want to change. im sorry you hate the metric system.

anyway, back to the original point of this thread.

i love that feeling when i do a figure 11 down a groomer... balls to the walls... and i hit a roll and fly a couple of dozen feet in teh air.

when i was in winter park, my friends and i used to go bowling for spores... line up switch, figure elevan down a groomer and scare the living shit out of texans.

yea i wish that us americans just did metric, cause now we do both metric and american and it sucks. metric is easier also casue it is all in tens. american is like 12 inches to a foot 5280(or sumthing like that) feet to a mile. just more complicated

To convert roughly km-miles divide by 8 times by 5.....to convert miles-km divide by 5 times by 8. Super easy.

And try to learn another language, its fun to be able to speak with someone else without using english, and it also improves your intelligence because you have to think about something you normally dont, talking. And if you make a profound effort to learn someone elses language they are more likely to respect you when you visit thier country.

 
To whoever said that english should be the only language, it wouldn't happen. It pretty much erases foreign culture (from the non-English speaking countries), which no country would ever do.

i'm not sure about how fast i was going, but i bombed from the top of rondesvouz mtn at jackson and once i hit a little flat section before hannah i crashed big time. lost both skis and poles and hit my head quite hard. i'd figure it was in the 50-60 range but can't back that up.

And well, through my experience, the metric system is more precise. Thus, can you imagine ordering skis from the salesman in inches and in feet? That would seem strange. After all, this is a cultural question. ( didn't understand this sentence) I fear nevertheless that in the commerce world, the system more frequent and commonly-used takes presidence. Thus, already, skis are measured in meters. I suggest y'all keep in mind to count it in conversion, on the measures as much as for the change for example. This represents only a brief personal opinion, so don't think i am saying i am right just like saying that i am the undisputable quickest skier of this galaxy

Donc me permettre de réfuter cette opinion. Qui vraiment soigne ? tout ce que je sais c'est que j'aime que mes skis pour le parc pour aient été juste au-dessus de mes sourcils. Et pour la montagne, juste au-dessus de ma tête. A-t-il d'importance la longueur exacte du ski ? A moins que bien sûr vous les commandez de de l'internet ?
