On TV they do a comparison (I don't know what ratio) to pitchers speed in baseball. I saw Brett Favre hit 97 mph (adjusted), which is pretty damn fast. I can't remember what the actual speed was, I think it was around 72mph.

this is bullshit...... the fastest is like 45 because Brett Favre threw 40 in a gmae in 2003 and the announcer said that it was evivalent to a 95 mph baseball pitch. a 65 mph throw woul be like 125 mph which is impossible. 600 Rpm isnt accurate either because the ball would have to be rotating like 10 times a second which isnt possible not even professional baseball curveballs spin that fast.
