not too far, there are still a lot of haters out there. you cant say its one sport, but you could say that rollerbladin is like cross training or the summer version of skiing
 
aight so i got dis idea. i'm gonna get rollablades but take tha wheels off and den put a lil 6 inch ski so tha sports can finaly combine into one sport

My question is how the fuck are you suppose to stomp 60+ foot cliffs with roller blades, how are you suppose to stomp 100+ foot jumps, how are you suppose to carve down an open face, and how are you suppose to rip through trees with rollerblades? The answer is you can't. Skiing isnt just about the rails.

So there is nowhere to go; they will never be the same sport by principal.
 
i don't really know what your thread is about, it doesn't make much sense.

i do want to see skiing be, or at least have groups that are, influenced by blading in the same way that snowboarding is influenced by skateboarding.

i think there is a long way to go till we reach the same extent as them cos there are too many haters that think snowboarding is a more appropiate sport to be influenced by.

there was once a international pro rollerblader who was uk pro on line, richard taylor his name was. he died though and it was a terrible loss to such a lot of people and a lot of causes, this being one of them.
