HOW EASY IS IT TO RUIN YOUR SKIS

how easy would it be to delaminate your skis? my friend was giving me crap because i didn't have rivets in my tip and tail...and was just wondering

It only happens on poorly built skis. Rivets are completely unnecessary unless you're trying to salvage a ski that has started delaming on the tip or tail. If your friend seriously thinks skis need to be tacked together by rivets you should tell him he's a dumbass. Also, there isn't much you can do to prevent a ski from delaminating, it just kind of happens.

Pretty sure Rivits arent going to help at all really its more for look than anything and almost any ski can delaminate so yea

skis shouldn't delam ever, if they do it's a manufacturing problem, and tell your friend that he's a jackass, rivets are a fashion thing, they don't actually do anything

to delam skis? its pretty fucking hard, unless theyre like dyanastar. I watched testing on delaming and other things at a ski factory and it takes SO much pressure. Youd be more likely to break them in half.

Libertys used to delam like none other. no matter how hard or soft u pusheda em, the tips and tails started to flap like clappers

Dynastars never Delaminate, and they never snap. The edges and base just get destroyed. That's why they almost never get warrantied.

rivets served a purpose when ski construction was more 'primitive', but nowadays, yes, they are mostly for show. ive lost a few rivets in my PE's and theyre still going strong.

Actually the "slapping" effect that sometimes occurs during landings causes your skis to shear like crazy. Thats why cap skis dont do so well in the park. Anyway, long story short...its not that tough to delam a pair of skis in the park. I have delamed 4 pairs myself.

I dont have any edges on my t halls, core shots everywhere but it doesnt matter i ski them until they break in half

for everyone hating on rivets, I've seen lots of people who riveted their delamming invaders and it made them last a lot longer.

I don't see how rivets can be a bad thing. They don't effect performance in a bad way, if anything all they can do is make them stronger.

what dose this have to do with any thing there talking about delaming skis and ur just like ya my skis are geting  a hot wax to make me hit biger jumps ?
