How does the Mango 110 feel in park?

Especially on larger features and rails/boxes. i’m in the midwest so i basically only have park but i also do regularly go out to the west coast and sometimes Colorado to ski so i’m thinking of picking up a Mango 110.

I’m looking to get the park detune and softer flex at 171 through custom but idk if it’s worth it and how much detune it is. Or is the Mango already soft enough where I wouldn’t need the soft flex for butters etc. Would the detune heavily hinder my on-piste skiing? I don’t carve much.

Also how long would the Mango last in the park. Wondering if going custom is money well spent or if it’ll go bad in a short time. If so, then i’ll probably just pick up cheaper skis for dedicated park.

The magnus (the mango's predecessor, almost identical to it) is not a soft ski. Many people who have never skied them seem to think it's a soft ski. They're great for butters though even at regular stiffness.

Durability is fantastic

go bigger than 171. I'm 5'9 145 and I ride the Magnus 181's, they are definitely stiff skis but softer at the end enabling you to butter and giving the ski a snappy feel

ah okay so maybe the 176’s? i don’t really like skis that are too long.

176 vs 181 is up to you but I think 171 is definitely too short. the magnos and magnuses are very rockered skis, they have a very tight turn radius and turn like a shorter ski

I'm only a few inches taller and maybe 20 lbs heavier than you and I've been on 181 length / regular stiffness magnuses for years

okay got it will go for that then. is it worth it to get a park detune or should i ask for a medium detune? and does the mango 110 do well in park

Paying someone else to detune your skis is pointless. Go find a rock or buy a file at the hardware store for $5

Get mango 100s. Mango 110s will feel way too big in rope tow parks. I have magnus 102s and magnus 90s and prefer my 90s in the park. Just way lighter and easier on my legs lapping tow.

tbh i don’t trust myself enough to do that. i heard that the park detune is really good from on3p tho

at 135 u won't be able to bend any ON3P ski, might want to go for honeybees at that weight. save the money and buy some mass gainer

id second the 100s 110s would probably feel too wide. the detune is pretty noticeable i have mag 90s with detune and while it’s perfect for park you might have a bit of a hard time doing anything else with them

the 100s are amazing imo, havent tried 110, if i did i would fs get the softer flex. but yea it should last a good long time theyre very durable skis

haha im 135 and 6', got the mango 100 176s, hard to bend fs but put some more effort in and it works well enough

okay got it thank you. will most likely go for the 100’s. just looked at the weight difference and a lot is lost bw 100 and 110 compared to 90 and 100. so will go with 100 but idk if i go 171 or 176. 176 is 1.74/ski and and 171 is 1.67/ski. not sure if if gaining the .07kg is worth it to go 176’s

just mounted my new 100 today gonna ski it tomorrow, i was also in between 100 and 110 but figured im gonna get the mango 100 and then prolly order a jeff 110 for trips/pow days. the factory detune that came on the 100s is really good, its super smooth I have 0 burrs or anything on the edges, very stoked

alright thank you. Probably js deciding betwen a 100 or 110. If I go 100, ill just pick up a stock version but If i go 110 ill probably custom it. Wondering if the .2kg difference between 110 and 100 is anything. And if it is, maybe ill just grab the 100's.

I Love my Magnus 102s for the park they feel very capable everywhere else thou to me they feel quite large but I was riding 90s before I'm 185lbs and they feel perfect for me so I think the softer option might not be bad for you. However the 102s feel pretty big I feel like I wouldn't want anything larger for park stuff and being in the Midwest I think the 100s will do you perfectly and will still be a great ski for things out west unless you are in some DEEP DEEP snow but even on my 102s the rocker profile I find lends itself to some heavier snow but I'm also on the ice coast where you never need anything past 100 but I think 100s are the perfect do everything decently ski

okay understood. yea i love wide skis, my fav ski in park and off park i’ve used has been either my friends k108 or my dads reckoner112. i might go with the 100 just for easier learning and then later pick up the 110’s after learning.

Oh and ON3P and durability go hand and hand one of the most durable brands you can get

Mango 100s super fun. Very energetic lots of pop and really light. The

detune took a bit of getting used to but keep in mind I’m no park skier so it’s likely a much easier transition for someone who skis park a lot. Here’s me doing a dumb tranny find because I can’t slide rails.

My 186 Jeff 108s with a softer flex mounted -2 from true are my favorite all around skis I’ve ever had. They’re Awesome in the park as long as you’re not looking to get super technical since they’re a little heavy. But for cruisy park laps they’re as good as it gets. Plus they do so well all mountain, super chargey and damp yet poppy and maneuverable.

though I’m now thinking of going with the mango 110 in a softer flex. Apparently a stock mango 110 is similar to a soft flex Jeffrey. And I could use a little less stiffness still.

the tails are still super supportive, they’ve never washed out on big sketchy landings, if anything I’d like a little more “wheelie-ability”

the mango 110 I believe is a lighter than the Jeff 108 so it could be pretty awesome in the park.
