I honestly don't know a thing about economics so i'm not trying to prove you wrong, i'm hopign you know what you're talkiing about and asking you for some explination that i can take with credibility:
with that said,
i didn't say that the unemployment rate is high, i said it was increasing, which is a bit different. I think i'd like to do some searching to see wheather or not the jobs that people have actually provide sufficent wages: those who are 'employed' may still not be earnign enough money or having sufficent coverage of benifits and so unemployment figures could be misleading
With our dollar value dropping so fast its tough for me to believe that it could be considered a good thing (i guess i'm skeptical that it will stop dropping) I mean the Canadian dollar is equal or worth more than the USD these days, (no offense canada) but that is scarry, and really shitty when you come back from abroad...
As for exportation, what decent products does America make? Almost everything i can think of is made with higher quality, for cheaper, in Asia...
My main concern is that GPD doesn't directly relate to quality of living, China having the second largest GDP behind the US doesn't have anywhere near the same quality of living spread across its population.
