How does facebook choose the friends shown in your profile?

Look at your friends, it's usually the same people. Facebook says that it's random, but I'm pretty sure it's the people who view your profile the most. And you are your friends pages you view the most. I'm arguing with my girlfriend because in her friends is a kid that must stalk her and I really don't like because he's been all over her but she just thinks he's a friend even though he made a move like three times and I'm telling her he's a creeper.

The algorithm is based on who's profiles you view the most. Thus, if you view a person profile a lot it shows up on your page.

I think we should get a group of 30 people and make aliases. have 15 "like" something on someones page. have the other 15 repeatedly view the persons page, check to see who the person is, then you have how they determine hte friends list.
