i look at both, i only use like 4 finger tho, not even my thumb for the space bar, my dad does the same and hes prolly one of the fastest typers i know
i guess i type fairly correctly. i use most of my fingers with the exception of my pinkies, i think. and i look at the screen. i guess i did absorb some of that info tech class freshman year.
it depends if im eating something or not but i am always looking at the keyboard but i can catch some stuff out of the corner of my eye but i miss stuff sometimes. if i am eating something i use one hand and im getting good at it.
I had a typing class freshman year every day for 40 minutes... and the tests were hard. Which i hated then but now i can type at 70wpm looking where ever the hell i want
Lol I just tried typing while looking at the keyboard and nothing made sense, I actually don't understand how I type so damn fast. Like it's not like I'm typing individual letters, but whole words at the same time.
usualy just look at the screen, i took keyboarding in freshman year, but i do my own typing i dont really use my pinki or ring fingers, and i typed faster than most of the class it was funny.
Same here I don't understand how my fingers move to make the words so fast anymore. But if i stop to think about what keys i have pressed because i made a mistake or something I get all messed up and have to think about what i was saying for a second. It is kind of just second nature anymore I don't even think about it because I have been doing it for nine years.
its so simple, i always look at the screen. from like 2 grade to 8th i had typing classes and again my jr i think? so i never look at the keyboard unless its numbers and all that crap or when im eating
I took keyboarding in 10th grade. Even though the class was boring I at least learned to type fast. I used a modified home row technique I developed myself. It's pretty sick. My peak words a minute was 118 back in my competition days.
like right when i first go to type something i'll quickly scope the keyboard before placing my hands in the approipraite place to start typing, then continue to type while looking at the screen.
i only took one class in typing in like 6th grade or something. i type will all of my fingers because it is faster and always look at the screen because my fingers just "magically" find the right keys. the hard part is typing numbers without looking and not making mistakes. it took me a long time and sometimes i still have trouble with it.
lets see. oh. i guess i dont look at all. nice. i dont even think about where the keys are, my fingers just go there. but im guessing thats what its like for most people
