How do you think you will fare when the Zombie Apocalypse arrives?

i guess it depends where you are when it happens: say i'm in a walkingdead type farm with tons of ammo, family+friends I guess i'd be having fun shooting some but if you start off in the woods, i'd probably faint before even seeing one...

(n depends on type of zombie as well: walking dead=alright, iamlegend=fuck that commit suicide)

I'd probably do okay for a while. Load up the hunting rifles and shotguns, take the truck and go out to a farm away from town. Fortify.
 
it will totally depend on the type of zombies but i think that in general i'd do pretty good...there isn't really one skill i'm particularly good at but i can do a lot of things really well. and that is imho what you need to survive...

But now another question for my fellow survivors, what kind of life will you lead? Build a big fortified house or compound and defend it, will you keep travelling around in a convoy constantly scavenging supplies or will you try to keep low and avoid contact with survivors and zombies by travelling lightly and always being prepared to move ? or ....

But I'd just sneak into North Korea. No one (and no zombie disease) gets in, no one gets out. Plus there's pretty much only one way in by land. The real trouble is when zombies learn how to fly planes and drive boats.

nah jk, id steal a garbage truck and fortify in a huge metal workshop/ garage until i have a bitchin ass survival machine, then go out and fuck shit up mad max style... still need a dog though.
 
id do fine for a while at least, id grab my guns and my stash of ammo, fill up my truck with diesel and bring a bunch of spare fuel for lanterns stoves etc, . then id throw my camper on the back of my truck fill that thing to the brim with supplies and head for the hills of montana, i would survive of the things i brought and ration them as best as possible for as long as possible as i construct my permenat living facility ( fortified cabin ) . just have to find a place with good water and good cover and a good escape route ( plan b ) , but most of my time would be spent chopping fire wood for the winter, and hunting for large and small game and curing it for the winter months so i wont be without heat food or water. but ya i would go deep in the forest , create a small compound, and always have a weapon with me. and no matter how much ammo you got or whatev, you will run out at some point, so a good bat with some nails stuck in her will do fine for my " camp weapon ". haha wow i thought about this too much haha .
 
with I Am Legend zombies I'd be fucked no matter what

with Walking Dead zombies I think I could manage. I'd snag a car, drive myself and a girl back home, pick up my two best friends and grab a baseball bat or two. Then I would go to the gas station, top off the car, and drive to the gun store in my town. I'd either buy a few of the guns, or, if the place is already in chaos, I'd just take them, and then I would drive out to my summer house on cape cod. On the way I'd steal/buy as much supplies as possible. Once there, I would stash the car at my house (1 minute walk from a private beach) grab a few supplies, and load the gear into kayaks that we own at the private beach. Kayak out to a sandbar island (basically just a giant area of sand above water that never goes below water) and build a little shelter out there or take over one of the 2 houses that are there (old sailor houses, they aren't currently inhabited). Then we would live there keeping watch over the whole sandbar.

When the time comes for us to get supplies 2 of us would kayak back (walkie-talkies for constant communication between the groups) and land on the beach. Not sure if we would go by night or by day but we would rationalize our decision when it came time to make it. Then, sneak up to the house, grab the car, drive to find supplies, return, and kayak back.

For the first like 2 months we would easily live off of just looting the houses around mine, then we would have to risk driving into Chatham or wherever.
 
Definitely go to the boundary waters. Canoe and fish all day, surrounded by water, live in paradise while everyone else is getting fucked
 
I think I would fare pretty well. I like in a 3 story house on top of a large hill with no neighbors for a mile or so in every direction. We have a generator and water collection devices, and a huge garden and vineyard. We also have plenty of armament. About to install solar panels too. My family would definitely work things out.
 
what about a situation like in the movie "The Road" the fact that sane living people coming after you for basically the same reason seems scarier to me.
 
That is one of my favorite books. This is also, in the book, World War Z. Everybody was fighting for each others resources, to a point where the biggest threat was not the zombies, but the people.
 
people are way too prepared for a zombie apocalypse now, at least in the case of slow zombies. fast zombies would be the only possible zombie infection that would kill enough people for it to be apocalyptic IMO
 
i dont want to give away my whole plan because then it might be comprimised, but it includes a cruise ship and is pretty much fail-safe.
 
Seriously? You really think your "plan" is that special? A zombie apocalypse will never happen so whats with the secrecy?
