How do you size skis?

If you're a new skier then don't go get long ass skis. For all these people telling you to get big skis don't listen to them. Some of the people that use skis over 185 are using them in powder and that makes sense. It seems like you want more of a park ski. If you're new go for 169 Fujatives. I have them and they are good but I wish I had the 179's just because I'm a pretty good skier (alright in the park). I'd try for some 174's if you can or something around there. Then again if you really think about it a ski that is 10 cm longer that is 5 cm in the tips and 5 cm in the tails, which is really not that much.

im 5"7 or so and i weigh 130 pounds. im getting 166 afterbangs.

Traditionaly, its supposed to be around your nose or over. Alot of people still prefer skis at 190, but for a park skier i would go right in between your chin and nose, Spins fast if your in the park but can still hold a good edge.
