This thread is bringing back memories. I remember my first attempts at sliding a rail; it was at afton and this random dude with rocker skis and dreads was helping me out (looking back, this guy was ahead of the game) but he was teaching me all the basics: weight forward, feet shoulder width, scissor, all the good stuff. The first time I greased that rail, I was hooked and now look back on the day whenever I see someone starting out. Everyone starts somewhere, so what may not seem like a big deal to you may mean the world to the person you're helping out.
