How do you melt P-tex

I got a buch of gashes in my skis and I have some P-tex which should be able to fix them but I don't know how to melt the P-tex.

use a candle or lighter, and just melt it right on...simple!

Also...if that doesn't make 100% sense to you or your uncomfortable doing it on your own...TAKE THEM TO A SHOP...don't ruin your skis even more/hurt yourself.

You don't sound like you know what you're doing.

Take them in first. You might not get a proper fill, and it'll fall out or something, or just look extremely sloppy.

Take them in, ask to watch or have it explained to you.

use a propane torch. the lighter doesnt get it hot enough fast enough. be careful not to burn your house down though.

lol u use a lighter,

1. put lighter under p-tex

2. let its start to burn clear.

3 drip on gashes.

4. let dray forever

5 sue plastic scraper (not metal) scrape off dont over due it though..... done

you dont want it to drip on the gashes, that wont fill the cut. you want to rub it untill it starts to get gummy then remove it from the base and let the candle get warm again and repeat.
good luck if you use a plastic scraper, you want a metal one it takes it off much easier and doesnt ruin your base.
