How do you make friends? HELP

So here's the background. Going into highschool, me and a good friend went to a separate school then ALL my other elementary friends. He's a good friend of mine, and he skis, so it's all fine and dandy. Anyway, in my first year of highschool, like most people, I met a shit ton of new people. People of all varieties, and most had become my good friends that I hung out with alot.

Moving on, in my grade 10 year, I decided to move to the school where all my elementary friends were going. (my good friend also came along on this move) The main reason for the switch in schools was that the first school severely lacked in it's program diversity. Anyway, I'm sure many of you have experienced moving into a different school, and trying to fit in or find some new friends. The first year went quite well (grade 10). I had a bunch of people that I hung out with and it was all good. Then it all started to change as I went into grade 11. Many of my closest friends moved away, switched schools, or became total fucking assholes to me. I still got a couple of close friends, but it's not the same.

So now I'm stuck in this spot where I have no idea how to make new friends. I also really want to talk to and become good friends with a number of really solid 8.5 girls, but I have no idea where to start. Alot of people know who I am, but what do I do to become their friends? FML, How do you guys make friends?

SPARKNOTES: I moved schools part-way through HS and now all my friends have moved away/are dicks to me. How does you make new friends?

find the biggest, toughest, most popular kid in school and punch him square in the face, then send his girlfriend a dick pic.
 
Throw a party and invite people you want to come.

Hopefully this will allow an opportunity to chat it up with girls and hang out with some new people. Then, if your party is fun, and people like you, you'll be invited to their parties.

If you don't have the means to throw a party or don't want to-- take up a sport or hobby. Join a club or sports team.

Talk to those who sit next to you in your classes. Maybe meet with one of them you like to study for a test, and then when you go to study, play video games or chill instead and make a new friend.

But, you did say you have a few close friends, and this is all that matters. As long as you have a couple of go-to great friends, you're set. I know it's fun to have a ton of friends, but it's a few close ones that are going to be around in the long run.

Just talk to people. Find people with similar interests/find the same things funny. If you guys can laugh and joke about the same shit it'll be way easier to become friends. Meet a few people, chill with them, meet their friends, party with them, go skiing/do whatever, boom you have friends.
 
based on how he says grade ten, im guessing he is from canada and in all the mcdonalds i have been to in canada a mcchicken is like 4.29, it makes me so mad.
 
lly helpful. I cannot really throw a party. I live in the middle of butt-fuck no where. I guess I could throw a farm party.. I should start going to partys more often too.

Walk into one of the halls and yell, "Are any of you on Newschoolers?" Could have disastrous consequences but hey, its worth a shot haha
 
High schools its mad easy to have like 10000 close friends...just smoke weed.. High school is the shit.

But college kinda sucks, im a freshmen, i only stayed friends with one of my high school friends :/ and im still friends with my ski friends but only see them at the skatepark and ski resort. Post High School sucksssss
 
Work on your humor. I don't know if you are funny at all or not, but a solid sense of humor can take you places. Work on saying and doing funny things, If you can convince like 4 people that you are funny by doing or saying something funny at a school event, sports game, ect. the word will spread and people will want to get to know you and spend time with you, everyone loves to laugh.
 
Not smart enough to get into a university. going to Community College with a bunch of N Word people.

+ theres like 5 hot girls at my entire college.....one of them is my ex.

In 2 years ill be at University of Utah tho getting buck wild hopefully.
 
you will never make friends with girls if you refer to them as solid 8.5. things like that indicate to people that you are a shallow asshole, just saying.

dude just be yourself. speaking from personal experience, i didnt change from high school to college, and people from my hs have told me im cooler since then and that ive changed so much, even though i didnt. honestly, when you get into university this is where you find friends that last a lifetime, and truly appreciate you for who you are and what you do.

i barely see my friends from university since graduation, maybe once a month but when i do it's the greatest fun i have. if those kids from high school are being dicks to you for the popularity, they will find out what happens the hard way when they get to a place where no one has the time or patience to deal with that bull shit.
