whoa. I just might buy pvcs now. I'm gonna try to make a decent one now. BTW. scratchskier, do you get enuf speed to clear all that pvc? Would it work better if my rails were slanted? as well as the starting push spot?
and when i first used them i dident have enough speed cause they rails were sticky so i just bought a can of PAM(the cooking spray) and just put some on and it slides like butter but yea what are you planning on doing for speed make a little sketch in "paint" or somthing
my setup is similar to Scrtchskier22's but i made my inrun a little more narrow.
Make your rail long. Its a waste of time if its any less than 10 ft. If you go into the lumber yard of your local hardware store you can find 20 ft pieces of PVC. Thats what i did and it worked out great. The turf isnt too hard to find. Try home depot. I got all i needed for $30 bucks and it also works really well as long as you get it saturated. Heres a pic
well, actually i'm just using a natural hill in my backyard. It's not really that steep..... and i've tried wet tarp and shit like that but it doesn't slide at all
O yeah lol cooking spray. I was just using some wax or soap on mine.... It's about a 15 footer, but i couldn't get enough speed for myself to get all the way down it
(and yes, i couldn't even with the pipe on a downhill slant).
