How do you know your skis are too short?

So i have these pair of Line Chronics they are 163cm and im about 6foot. I know they are a little too small but are they small enough that I should sell them and buy a new pair?

depending on how/what you mostly ski, you should be looking at about a 173-178 range for park at 6 ft tall, at least. 163 is way too short

op, I would definitely say 163 is too short.

Just a quick question, should I go with 176 or 181? I'm 6' 150 an possibly still growing and I want to ski 60% park 40% all mountain.

What ski are you looking at in particular? Waist width and ski stiffness are two common things you should have in the back of your mind when picking a ski size.

I'm skiing my 164 punx's for the 3rd season this year, I'm 5'8", and they seem pretty short. I'd go with selling the skis and buying longer ones for cheap.

i would center mount them because you wont be skiing much pow with domains and ar7s s there is n point and i would get the 181s

haha, next ul be saying dont bother buying two planks, just buy one and have both ur feet pointing down the hill :-) ohh and dont forget to buy ur bright coloured onsie!!! i wonder how skiers will look back on us in 20 years time!!!

you should get longer skis if possible. somewhere around 181cm. i'm 6'3 and my 181 park skis are just a little smaller than i would like them to be

Im 5'10" and 172, really athletic build, I have 176's for park. Im gonna try and pick up a pair of 180's for all-mountain/powder. So like a 110 underfoot Im thinking. Something mid-fat. Id definitely go longer man, especially if youre taller than I am.

word. i have 181 S4s center mounted and im 5'10" and i can throw them around like nothing.

also just got 186 sickles and have them +5

I'm 6'2 and use 169s in the park. and i can feel theyre too short, especially on jumps.

but outside of the park my do-it-all skis are only 173 and i like that. i have another pair that are 183 which are just the fucking best skis in the world for destroying a groomer, but if i have to turn at anything shorter than a GS radius im fucked

I'd say that they are definitely too short. How much do you weigh? Where did you mount them? Im 6' 150lbs and all my skis are over 180cm

theyre 173 Atomic Panics and they rip. trust me. plus they supposedly 'ski longer' than they are, as in they have the control of a longer ski. i love them.

my 183s are Head Monster im82's which arent twin tips. they can carve through absolutely anything, but it makes them difficult to maneuver around suddenly.

but yeah my k2 silencers ive had for 5 years are too short haha. im thinking of buying my friend's 4FRNT TNKS @ 175 for cheap. im not a super park skiier anyway so i think theyll do

you know your skis are too short whenn.... you feel like you want bigger skis. ski whatever is comfortable with you. i 186 for park and 191 for pow. im 6 ft. but my roommate is 6 '3 and he rides a little shorter than i do, like 184's or somethin.

granted it's been a few years since i bought skis, but where do you get 186s for park? i've found that most companies stop at 181

damn, I'm still torn, would the k2 recoils in 181 be too much for me to handle if I'm 6' 150. As they will be my only skis at the moment I'm gonna be mounting them 1 or 2 cm back. I'm a good skier outside of the park but more of an intermediate in the park, and I'm still learning bigger spins and spins onto rails, etc. What do you guys think would be better 176 or 181?
