How do you heat mold salomon spk kaos boots?

i just got salomon spk kaos boot and i wanted to know if you heat mold them like a regular heat moldable boot or is there a different way

Now I could be wrong here but I'm 99% sure they're not a heat moldable liner... they have thermo-form tongue and parts around the ankle but I think they just form from the heat of your body.
I never baked mine like an Intuition or anything like that...

The Kaos uses Salomon's Custom Sport liner which is only moldable in the ankle and tongue. Have a shop toss it on a heat stack for 10-15 minutes and you should be good to go.

if your shop won't help you out, just wear them around the apartment/house for a week or two and they will pack out/mold pretty well. that's what i did

how much smaller should i buy the kaos due to packing out? if my shoe size is 13 (mondo 30.5-31) would the 29.5 be best? (do they make bigger?)

i'm headed to the shop in like a week so any suggestions would help, or not cuz i know i'll find what i want after tryin shiz on

The only way to know for sure is by getting the correct shell fit (the sticky at the top of the page has pretty decent guidelines to go by).

Typically, a 29/29.5/11US shell is for a 12 foot and Salomon does not make a larger shell size. So if you are truly a 13 foot (which quite often people are wrong about their foot size) you might be out of luck. But like I said, the only way to know for sure is to get shell fit.
