I wanna go to the east coast open but its sooo hard finding out how to get to okemo vermont, like I found an airport in burllington, but how far aways is burllington from okemo and is there cheap transportation inbetween

okemo is a couple hours from burlington. maybe fly into lebanon NH? but that's a smaller airport and will be more expensive.

Whistler isnt the only place out west you tool...pretty much all of utah, colorado, and california have more snow than you will ever have.

if you fly into burlington, hartford CT, or albany NY it's all 2 hours, so take the cheapest one. ideally, fly into lebanon NH though, it's only about an hour.

flying into Manchester, NH is also an option, but again its about a hour and a half.

If you fly into Killington, you're only looking at about a 30 minute drive to Okemo

just drive there, I went to killington from TO and it took me like 10 hrs with all the stops, border crossing etc. But then it depends where u are in ontario

 
the roads in vt suck though its all backwoods routes for the most part that take you through a bunch easterbumfuck towns, but its not impossible

^ you're a dumbass, its the interstate basically the entire way down, it's about an hour and a half. just go on mapquest and it'll give you a route down. i'll be there!

im at uvm, to get to northern nh on weekends i got to cut across all back roads or take the highway south then go back north theres no direct highway, but ive never really been in the south so it could be different

Burlington is like 2 1/2 hours away from Okemo man. Im in central vermont and it takes 2 hours to get there basically.

make a friend from here that lives in burlington and has a car. fly into burlington. meet up with this person. fill their gas tank & drive 2 hours to okemo. ski. buy them lunch. fill up their gas tank again. drive 2 hours back to burlington. get back on the plane. fly your ass the hell out of vermont.

 
You obviously don't know vermont very well if it's all 'backwoods' roads.

Yes, the backwoods roads are often more entertaining to drive, but there are some major highways there too, which will get you around better.

I get to vermont by taking route 7 north from troy, but that's just me.

yah i dont know vt really well, i was just speaking from my limited experience which i probably shouldnt have, but when i drive home to northern nh i have to take all shitty back roads if i dont wanna go south first

rt 89 to exit 1 (rt 4), follow rt 4 towards woodstock (I think), that will take you to the Killington access road. If you go to Okemo, follow rt 4 until you see rt 100 (I believe), follow rt 100 to Okemo access road.

Take the time to look at a god damned map. The internet has made kids very lazy these days. In the time it took you to start this thread, read through it, you could've gotten a map and figured it out, or even use mapquest. damn

haha...whoever tells you it's 1 1/2 hrs to okemo from burlington is either a) lying or b) knows the back roads and a few short cuts.

The times to okemo range between an hour 40 and 2 hours...depending on if you get stuck in traffic and the time of day.

I-89 is NOT the way to go to okemo. it'll take you an extra half hour if you drive all the way down to exit 1.

The correct directions are to take Route 7 to 4 East to VT-103 (it's on the left). There's a shortcut in rutland that'll knock off about 15 minutes, but it's better to ride w/someone to get there.

If you don't wanna believe me that's fine, but I've been driving to Okemo almost every weekend in the winter for the last 2 1/2 - 3 years.

side note...both maps.google.com and mapquest.com tell you to take route 7 south to VT-103. Search burlington, vt 05401 to ludlow, vt

It takes about an hour to an hour and 15 min to get to rutland then 10 min in rutland then another 25 or so from rutland to okemo.

adam isnt it faster to hit up 100 instead of 7? Route 7 usually has reallllly shitty traffic coming down from burlington
