how do you get to chad's from the bottom of alta?

...I've never been up there, but I think the location is kept secret by those in the know.

I was one of the witnesses to Tanner Halls Chads Gap crash. It was

mind blowing. Standing up in those trees with a bunch of hippies and

film crews looking down on Tanner crashing was just astonishing. The

thunder of dynamite was heard. We later learned that Alta ski patrol

had put dynamite in Tanner's boots in a desperate attempt to blow up Chads Gap. This caused tanner to break his ankles. He went into broken

record mode screaming in pain about how his ankles were broken. We

thought it wouldn't get any worse.

We were wrong.

Suddenly out of nowhere from the in-run Tom Wallisch appeared. He threw

a dub cork 12 and afterbanged so hard that Chads Gap actually blew

up. In the middle of the fiery inferno the Traveling Circus crew came

like bats out of hell. Andy Parry and Will Wesson started killing the

group of hippies that I had mentioned earlier. They then fed the dead

hippies and some snickers bars to Ian Chompton. A group of guys from

Warren Miller Entertainment desperately ran after the other film groups wanting to buy their

footage but everyone was to busy trying to save their lives.

I ran over to tanner, who unable to walk was still screaming that

his ankles were broken. I slung him over my shoulders and said the

magic words. I tapped my full tilts together three times saying "There's

no place like the bottom of Alta, There's no place like the bottom of Alta, there's no place like the bottom of Alta". I teleported to the

parking lot. No fiery inferno. Just gapers and the deafening roar of

"BROKE, MY ANKLES ARE BROKEN! I GOT BROKEN ANKLES!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" over my shoulder.
 
for real dude...this shit is absolute internet gold and worthy of a far

greater audience. one thing that always bothered me about this

phenomenon was the footage those dudes brought back. granted the video

was taken almost 10 years ago and cameras/video editing programs back

then weren't as good as what we have now, but they still should have put

together a sick edit chronicling the search for chad's and calling out

all the haters.

still one of the most epic things that has ever occurred on the

internet...someone should seriously throw together a documentary with

interviews with the 4 dudes as well as some of the prominent haters. it

will be called "searching for chad's: a young man's journey from

obscurity to internet stardom" - a MackDawg Production - directed by MFM

Im with the others here! Come on Altarider, I hope your kidding too! last I checked, no matter how gangsta the park scene is... It mereley is a bunch of white boy rich kids and ski/board bums who try to emulate minority urban america.. acting as if its cool to be a gang banger criminal! (Personally I despise the gangsta vibe in the ski community, its a disgrace, and mockery to the real victims who are stuck in the inner city gang life, trying to make the best for themselves and their "bros") I respect that this public land is yor home turf, and you put in countless hours of build and maintenance! But are we not a brotherhood of riders with the common bond of enjoying the mointains, and exploring the backcountry? This is why we originally migrated into the pristine mountains decades ago..., to leave this urban, fast paced, hate your neighbor mentallity behind us! Dont be such a hater... If creedman wants to show up and talk shit in your face, then by all means stand up to him, but I read his first intent was only to ask how to get to chads! I m with you, I think 9.7 out of 10 people will shit their pants at the sight of it, but I dont see the need to hate on him and threaten him just for asking!
