I used mount rainier as an in ramp and gapped stevens pass all the way to baker, luckily the 800' of powder caught my fall~

This hits from 2004 and its still going?

Thats awesome.

This post probably has one of the most replies that isnt a sticky.

i like how like no one actually answered the question they all said that snowboarders will kill you if you go up there and i am not suprised

ahaha chads gap from wiki.....

Although the gap was originally made and hit by skiers, it is now dominated by the snowboard world. Pro snowboarder Marc Frank Montoya and his acquaintences within the Mack Dawg crew protect the gap from being hit by gapers. If a skier manages to find the route from the bottom of Alta, they will inevitably be denied permission to hit the gap by the notoriously aggressive group of 'boarders.

HAHAHA NS!!

New schoolers meets wiki

Tanner Hall

broke both of his ankles while sessioning the gap in 2005. He also made

several successful jumps while filming for "Teddy Bear Crisis",

including a Switch 180, 540 and a few switch 900's.

Tanner Hall's infamous ankle break became known by skiers and

boarders world wide, the hilarity ensued on Newschoolers.com when

Tanner Hall said this famous quote that fateful day

Tanner: "Ow, f**k my ankles are broken!"

Anonymous Filmer: "His ankles are broken!"

Tanner: "Ahhh!"

Later in an interview conducted by EXPN, Tanner Hall said it felt like there was "dynamite in my boots."

Chad's Gap has only been cleared by a few snowboarders, including Travis Rice and Romain De Marchi

, who completed a backside 540, switch backside 540, cab 720, a

backside rodeo 720, as well as a backside 180 no grab in the

snowboarding video "Pop - Absinthe". It was also cleared on snowblades in the winter of 2005, which created much respect and support within the ski industry for the upcoming sport of snowblading.

The secret location of the gap is a topic of hot debate. Most scholars now believe that it is located in the Wasatch range in Utah, in close proximity to the Alta ski resort. There are many conflicting theories regarding how to get to Chads from the bottom of Alta.
