How do you get rid of a cold?

lots and lots of orange juice, works for me every time, also sleep a ton. that with the oj will get u back to normal in a couple days.

dont drink, and make sure you excercise, i like to think that helps you sweat out the virus (probably doesnt, but it does help). Im getting over one right now, and i made the mistake of getting drunk, and that took me back a couple days.

depends on the type of cold. if youre lazy all the time, sleep and take medicine. if youre still able to do things, but are sick, play sports and try and sweat it off. i sweat off colds a lot, it works for me

I just keep doing what I normally do. Forget about taking medicine for a cold. It'll just go away in a weeks time anyway.

keep a normal schedule, dont let it bring you down, eventually you wont even notice it and it will go away

try not to take any tylenol or any drugs. drink lots of water and preferably tea. when your getting too hot, cool yourself down, or when your getting too cold warm yourself up. oh yeah, make some chicken noodle soup. not the canned kind either. homemade.

First things that you should do is make sure not to take any of that stuff for colds. All that does is make you feel better, BUT it prolongs the cold itself. If you want to be rid of it fast the best thing to do is drink alot of water, tea with honey and lemon, Emergency works as well as airborn. You should get plenty or rest. Watch alot of southpark and beerfest. When i get colds i watch beerfest and it makes me stoked to drink water really fast. I hope that helps :)

-cold-eeze work the best

-oj or tea works well

-sleep

-don't be too active

-i've heard taking salt water thru your nose works well by sort of flushing out your sinuses but i've never tried it

drink all liquids except for alcohol and milk

milk increases the amount of mucus that is made so it wont help

take vitimins and cough drops

try to be active for a little bit but not for long periods of time

rest up go to bed early

get your mama to make you some chicken noodle soup

vitamin C

and orange juice

kick the shit out of it with vitamin C

at this point my remedy is more of a superstition...

cranberry juice, one habenero pepper, raw garlic mashed into that organic dried thai soup. in one meal. cleans you out at least.

also...on all the mad vit-c claimage...

YORK (CNN) -- Airborne - the herbal supplement company that once

claimed to help fight off colds - will pay $23.3 million to settle a

class-action lawsuit brought against the company for false advertising,

according to one of the groups that joined the suit.

The Center

for Science in the Public Interest, a non-profit advocacy group, said

the company will refund money to consumers who bought Airborne's

product. It will pay for advertisements in major publications

instructing consumers on how to get their money refunded.

"There's

no credible evidence that what's in Airborne can prevent colds or

protect you from a germy environment," said CSPI Senior nutritionist

David Schardt. "Airborne is basically on overpriced, run-of-the-mill

vitamin pill that's been cleverly, but deceptively, marketed."

According

to the company's Web site, Airborne was created by second-grade

teacher, Victoria Knight-McDowell, who "studied the benefits herbal

therapies used in Eastern Medicine." The site says Airborne "boosts the

immune system with seven herbal extracts and a proprietary blend of

vitamins, electrolytes, amino acids and antioxidants."

A recorded

message at the toll-free number of the class-action settlement

administrator said that Airborne Health Inc. has admitted no

wrongdoing. Airborne Inc., Airborne Health Inc. and Knight-McDowell

Labs are among the defendants in the class action lawsuit, filed in the

Central District of California in U.S. District Court.

"Defendants deny any wrongdoing or illegal conduct," the message says, "but have agreed to settle the litigation."

A hearing to consider final approval of the settlement is scheduled for June 16.

Airborne changed their advertising campaign when a plaintiff filed suit against the company in March 2006.

That

came after an ABC News report disclosed that the company's clinical

trials were not conducted by doctors or scientists, but instead carried

out by two laypeople.

Advertisements stopped mentioning the study

and cold-curing claims and instead touted claims that it helped boost

the body's immune systems.

In late 2006 the CSPI joined the suit

as co-counsel against Airborne and in 2007 the Federal Trade Commission

and an assembly of state attorney generals began investigating the

firm's cold-curing claims professed since its creation in 1999.

just drink emergen-c a couple times a day for a couple days, get some rest but dont sit around and let your body relax too much, the more your blood pumps to an extent the more it will ward off sickness. so go play golf or somethin but dont go nuts
