How do you feel about Volkl?

A lot of the skiers in my area rip on Volkl a lot but I have been on Volkl skis most of the seasons of my life. Just curious what you all think of Volkl.

They don't break, and how can you complain about a ski like that? If you don't like the shape, then you didn't do the proper research and you deserve to hate life

I had Volkl Kendo's before I started skiing park. My binding ripped out twice. I don't know if it was a crappy mount job or the core was weak.

They are too short now so they feel unstable as fuck.

I had a pair of Volkl Ledges they were a fun ski but the edge wasn't very attracted to the sidewall the whole edge underfoot was detaching from the sidewall and I count 20 edge cracks on each ski, it may have been because the skis were only $270, but they were still a fun buttery, light ski. I have now switched to J skis and I love those a ton.

3 reasons why your post is completely invalid

The skis were ledges

the skis were ledges

and finally the skis were ledges

I've always viewed Volkl freeride skis as the Mercedes of skis, they're strong, pricey, a little heavier because of the quality, but make good use of their weight

Sounds like a crap mount because I have never had problems with Kendos in the past.

That's like shitting on line because of he Masterminds. Volkl skis are sick. I have steps and I love them

I rock em raced on them growing up.

I have 2 pairs of Shiros the 193s with a lot of rocker and a nice long 203 with less. Need that stable ride at speed.

My favorite thing is when people make an argument but they don't support it at all. But I have ledges and I love them.

Don't get me wrong I did too, they just ended up falling apart

volkl makes great skis I like the ledges a lot but i haven't used since because they can be pretty pricy

I swear 97% of people buy the Orange volkl wall because almost all the pros use it and it looks cool. Not because it's a great ski

It's the truth. But the volkl wall is a great ski and I would enjoy using it but im sure that many people with logic don't care how it looks.

not hating on volkl I ski volkl shiros and love them. but i work at a skis shop and we do season leases on ledges and one year and edges get blown out and topsheets gone in spots a big as a playing card. granted the people don't take care of them but still

these skis are literal shit. I personally like volkl, I ski shiros. but these are the worst ski they make, so you cant judge the whole company on j=the worst ski they make

Well I was wasn't judging the whole company, I was merely saying my experience with Volkl but whatever floats your boat

I have been skiing volkl walls for several years, and when I blew out a sidewall, I was happy to buy a new pair, considering that I wasnt careful with them at all, used them on a dry slope airbag for an entire summer, and hit urban with them on several occasions. They for me through 3 seasons. (I was able to epoxy the sidewall back in and get the skis to last the rest of the season). Most stable ski on big jumps and rails I have owned.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of the full gradual rocker they're implementing on a lot of their skis. Not necessarily the park ones, but on a ski like the mantra, I feel like it retracts from its purpose of being a hard charging all mountain carver

The one's and the two's are super fun, I'd love to get a pair of two's but I already have chetlers and don't need two pairs of somewhat similar skis. I agree that the full rocker on the mantra/gotama is kind of odd, but on their free ride/pow skis it makes them super fun and playful.
