as a matter of fact i came to the SD forum to post about how nice and snazzy it is. it has helped me realize that the grey of NS may be contributing to the general blah feeling of my life. i think bold colors are a good way to go.

Nothing, the point was to fix the menu to work on more than one browser.

Since IE is crap and Firefox, Opera and Safar are becoming more popular, we needed a more compliant drop-down menu.

The new one was made to look as much as possible as the old one.

No IE dosn't work fine. It's very broken!!!

It doesn't properly adhere to all the javascript and html format specifications. No browser does, including IE. Regardless, most sites are made to work best on IE since it's the most popular. But that won't be for long.

Microsoft's IE has been so plagued with problems that even Microsoft(!!!) is telling people to not use IE. And it's not only MS doing this. Their own subsidiary MSN does the same:

This is a serious problem. As an example, a month ago my cousin got a new computer. This week my bro had to go fix it cauz she had about 1000 spyware progs installed on her comp!! (about 100 of which were cookies). IE makes your computer a whore for hire.

Don't do banking or anything important with IE, it's too risky.

I recommend you install Firefox. Not only is it safer, it's got more features!

BTW, IE's popularity on the net has been quickly declining. Last year IE accounted for about 85% of all browsers on the web. In only 12 months they are down to 75%. And they are still declining.

Internet Exploerer is terrible. Spyware, popups, all of these annoying hacked 'toolbars' that download themselves, continous crashes, slow, the list goes on.

I switched to Mozilla, Firefox, and then Advanced Browser. Advanced Browser is my favourite since its Internet explorer based, but better IMO. I didn't like the Netscape based ones, too many compatibility issues (eg. old ns menus). Try it out, it can't hurt. i think its advancedbrowser.com
