How do we know if its real?

I am really bored and I was thinking...

How do you know something exists if you have never seen it for your self. For example Stone henge. How would i know it exists? Just by taking peoples word that it does and pictures? They could be lying and the pictures could be fake.

Or since i live in Connecticut, how would i know california exists or any place i have never been too?

Another example is the holocaust. how do i know it really happened? i have heard a lot of horrible stories about it but how do i know it was real? IM NOT SAYING IT WASNT.

so how do you know something exists? just because people say it does? from pictures that could be fake?

I have no idea what im getting at but im bored and i was thinking. Try it for yourself. THink of something, and event, or someplace you have only heard about or seen pictures but never been to and think of why you think its real. maybe it isnt. who knows.
 
trust, and the common sense that you should have that millions of people arnt gona agree to trick you into thinking there are a bunch of stones sitting in a field
 
u want to know what will really get u thinking in the universe... think about all the plantes and how humans and all life forms are just here and that this planet seem to be "normal" then think about outside of our galaxy... its just a bunch of nothing were just floating
 
holy shit man, that is intense. i bet there is people just like us in some other galaxy that are thinking the same thing.

well thats a stupid ass point to bring up. people that say it never existed are the most nazi mother fuckers ever who i will personally kill. obviously 6 million jews dont just go missing and their families/survivors have all these stories for no reason
 
because people are inherently trusting. but i say get out and travel and discover stuff for yourself anyway.
 
alright the holocaust did happen and if you dont believe it visit germany yourself and go to auschwitz. many people who venture there say they can supernaturally feel the pain of all those who were tormented.

there are lunatics out there who do preach that the holocaust didnt happen and i recall a story of one highschool history teacher losing his teaching liscence for teaching his class that the holocaust didnt happen. theres too much evidence to show it happened.

evidence my friend. thats how you know these things.
 
you probably went insane 10 years ago and are stuck in your own asylum. your imagining everything and whos to tell you your life is real. your just imagining those people comforting yourself. how does that feel?
 
you know what else is weird to think about? what if what you see is completely different from hat everyone else sees. like for instance, what you know as the color green, is something completely different for someone else, but they know the color they see as green also. that is why there is no possible way of knowing what someone else is seeing. thinking about this drives me crazy so i'm going to stop now
