How do u store them

Just wondering is there a right way and a wrong way to store bindings such as the rossi scratchs and look piviots with the different heel piece?

In the stores you always see the heel piece 'up' as though they have a boot in the bindings but out of the box they come 'down'. Does it matter?

Right way-

Set binding to lowest DIN setting, if you can help it don't 'connect' them cause your edges will rust....but then again they might rust anyway. Some people bag em', I just throw them under the bed.

I just keep mine in my room , leaning agianst a wall un-connected. Another thing I do to protect against rust is wax them but leave the wax on the edges , dont scrape it away. If you do happen to get some rusting you can just sand it away.

to answer you question....no there is not a right or wrong way to store the turntable bindings. Store display them up because it shows people how the binding looks when you boot is in.

Also you do not have to turn the DIN all the way down. With older bindings, the spring would lose compression, with newer bindings the materials used in springs are much stronger and hold their compression rating much longer

I just put them in the shed. Looked at them a couple days ago...rust!
