Searchbarred and nothing came up. I got a new laptop and I have about 2500 songs on my desktop that I want on my laptop. I looked it up through google and it came up through the apple website. The problem is that all the steps do not match up and it doesnt work. Does anyone know how to do it? ++++ Karma because it sucks not being able to listen to my music at school.

i've never ever seen one of those.

anyway, get an external hard drive, plug it into your comp, drag and drop all your media files into it, unplug, plug into new computer, drag and drop. or set your itunes so it gets music files from the external, then you don't have to put the music onto your computer and clog it up, it just stays on the external. that's what i do.

If you have an IPod, you can put it in disk mode and use it like a flash drive, but basically, yeah, everyone on here is right.

not unless you jail break it.

you could compress the music files to a folder, then burn them to a couple cds or dvds.

wow this thread really could have helped me. I did it purely burning cds. It took me forever. Seriously, i still have some songs to load

do not burn cds that is a horrible waste of time. external hard drive or double ended usb like the person above said

dont know if it works cause it just came to my mind but if you put all your music on limewire, i think you can shhare it by using your ip adress and accessing to the library from your laptop.

dude, it takes like a few minutes to burn a cd with alot of songs unless you have a POS computer. Depending on th file type you use and the size of the cd, you could put all of your songs on one disc

External Hard drives cost at least 75$ and a double ended usb also costs money, I would think CD's are the cheapest route, PLUS its always good to have backups of your music because computers and external drives can and will FAIL.

yeah one like this. most printers use those now. but you can't use one of them to plug two computers to each other

that's because only one end is USB. you can buy cables with two USB connectors, all you have to do is look.

if u have a ipod put all songs on your ipod and download irescue or senuti(itunes spelled backwards)

is there a way to transfer my playlists/smart playlists to a new itunes library? i got my songs in there, but it will take me months to get all 5000 songs into playlists.....
