How do I start making mashups and remixes of songs?

I really want to start making mashups and remixes of songs but I'm not really sure what software to use or really how to do it, so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks

if you knew what the technical definition of a mash up was, you would easily know how to make them.

if you want to do it the fun way, turntables, otherwise, a DAW like ableton
