How do I land my lincoln

Decided to get a little rowdy today and try to send a lincoln. No idea how since none of my friends know how, no one does them and no tutorials so decided to go with my gut and huck it.

Any help on how the hell to land it without going fully backseat or on my ass

Pop forward when you take off the lip, as you set your sideways rotation.

if you slow your video down, you'll see you're landing with your feet in the same angulation as when you take off, sort of a \ \

you want your feet to go from \ \ on the takeoff to / / on the landing. you do that by setting your pop forward. I hope that helps

Have to try to focus on it more. Its just hard since with most flips you can just rotate more or less to land perfect with the landing but cant really do that with a lincoln

I found for me that what helped when I was learning them was to pick a focus point for my eyes- lift tower pole, sign, whatever, and use that as a landmark to think about rotating around in my head, if that makes sense.

approach lip of jump, find landmark with eyes

pop forward, rotate over my left shoulder, keeping eyes on landmark and just picturing it rotating in my vision.

Getting a grab tended to help me hold the rotation together- my preference was always mute.

put my feet down and land it.

obviously more goes into it than this, but I'm not a coach

This is the real trick

Once I worked out the forward pop thing it locked lincoln's in for me

Can’t lie, I’d say the opposite to all these guys. I come in with a pretty big carve off the lip and almost dip my leading shoulder back a bit. This way you come around with your tips wanting to hit the landing before your tails, preventing you from landing fully on your ass like in your videos.

This also really helps for when you’re trying to progress to underflips.

The thing is I have done underflips and they seem very logical, just can’t really wrap my head around a lincoln well enough to land it

My flat 3s that I don’t fully commit to always end up looking like Lincoln loops so i agree with the dipping your shoulder back not forward and letting your tips find the landing first

Stay forward on it. Feels a little word but it'll keep you level and forward enough to land. Good send! Pretty close. And close enough that you'll get em dialed.

As far as locking into a spot looking at it I never did that. I don't know if I could even. I think I just pop into it and derp for a second and then look for the landing. I think if I locked eyes on something I'd land on my head for sure.
