How do i cork a 720?

lean back when you hit the jump, pull up your legs and spin, just ski switch on regular runs until you are comfortable doing it
 
call bs all you want i know i can do a 9 off a jump but not on a tramp so whatev man im just sayin u dont have to learn everythin on a tramp first....most ppl dont even have one
 
ill i am saying is i can do soo much stuff on a tramp that there is no way i can do when skiing.

i guess you guys are tramp ignorant.

idk cork is one of thoes things that are wierd to do on a tramp then transfer over, i can do a lot of stuff on a tramp i cant do on snow , but i can do a lot of stuff on snow i cant do on a tramp...i think its a personal thing
 
I can do a lot of things on snow that I can't do on a tramp. Spinning in my opinion is harder on a tramp, especially landing.
 
throw your spin behind you.. uhhh kinda hard to explain but if you have done a cork before you will know what im talking about
 
spin back and down over your left shoulder, then quickly roll over yourself, it sets you up nicely for a 7. dont throw it too hard downwards or you will do a 1/2 rodeo onto your head.
 
ok, first of all, stop arguing like little school children about wether stuff is easier on skis and tramp.

its different. tramp really wont help everything on skis. things get thrown differently on each. but tramp will help you loads with air awareness.

on a trampoline, drop you leading shoulder some and lead with both you head and hips. think about almost lifting the trailing side of your hips up. this will insure you will go cork and not bio or misty. try doing half of it to get feeling, then throw it all the way to land.

on skis, the first thing to do is to get comfortabel carving off jumps. try doing this a few times to make sure you have the speed right, then whe you go to try it approach the lip and carve, then, when you get to the lip, drop your shoulder, and try and do sort of what i explained on the tramp, you dont need to accentuate it as much on skis though since you are taking off at an angle.

also, make sure you pop, if you dont itll either look like crap or you will eat shit., and dont freak out in the middle of your rotation or you definatly wont land right.
 
the first way i started doing them i was trying to do misty's and i would pussy out and not let myself go inverted and then it would just go into a cork, but now i do them the right way and its much easier throw both your arms to the tails of your skis
 
if its a normal backyard tramp it makes perfect sense. i can't spin 9's on a tramp but i just did one for the first timea couple of days ago.
 
How do you guys pop when you are carving off the lip? I've tried them and its hard to get air, I think I might be carving too strongly though...
 
i think once you get past 720 on a tramp, spinning becomes to hard of a huck and way too much effort to stay on axis.......... that is unless it's on an olympic tramp.... then it's a whole diff story.
 
i think it makes sense, i believe him 2. i dont i could do a 9 on a tramp, it seems easier going off a jump,(even tho i cant 9 of a jump it just makes more sense).
 
A few things, I think that its much harder to carve off a jump, than it is to go staright off and try to cork it out. I do think that when you can carve off the jump your corks will be much more corked and smoother. but first things first

There are many different ways you can do a cork: going straight into a cork, carving a cork, throwing it with your hips, or your arms.

I would strongly recommend that you do most of your spinning with your hips and not your arms. This is going to keep your spins much more controlled, and help stop your arm swining..ie rolling down the windows, or throwing the cat out of the window.

Secondly I would strongly encourage spinning with your hips on corks, it makes them look so much more floaty and smooth. When I come up for corks going straight I will drop my left shoulder (spinning left) and then rotate my hips up and to the right. Thats for 360's, that will help make them look really smooth and slow. For a carve 360 I will carve into the jump doing a 's' turn and right on the take off my body is usually really low with my body really leaning towards the ground. (try the straight take offs frist, they are much easier... less things to worry, and think about. For 720's I will come up to the jump push my left should back and down and to the left, while bringing my hips up and around.

Can you already do cork 3's? if so its going to be much easier. I know alot of people say that for cork stuff its easier to learn 7's first then to go to 3's. But I think that you should start with 3's to get the basics, then go to 7's, in the long run everything is going to look much smoother and dialed in.
 
no, actually i can spin easier on skis than on a tramp most of the time. maybe i try too had cause i did a 12 by mistake just ripping myself as hard as i could getting bounced by someone
 
i agree cause on my tramp at least you have to pop pretty hard to get enough air and when you are popping that hard it makes it harder to throw an on axis spin...

i can flatspin 7 better than i can do a normal one
