How do I add a player to online in cod4

How do I add another player to my party in Cod4? I cant figure it out. The second controller just doesnt show up when i try to play online with two people.
 
yeah cod 5 iw terrible. its made by some other company. but then cod 6 is being made by infinity ward again so it will be good
 
truth, im not even gonna waste my time with cod5...probably wouldnt play it if I got it for free. Cant wait for cod6 this winter
 
ill post this again. everyone saying cod5 is going to be shitty because its made by another company is wrong. 1,3 were made by activision, 2,4 by infinity ward, but the companies merged after 4 was released and are now the same company, therefore the company that made 4, is the same as 5, and 6, but they started design before the merge. the graphics engine is the same in 4 and 5 and they didnt make any huge changes. it will be better gameplay, obv diff weapons (which imo ww2 is much better and takes more skill), and better matchmaking (like halo does it, where ranks about the same play eachother).

one thing i hope they change is when you focus on the enemy, if they walk by it follows them for a bit. its so annoying and i hope they take it away.

cod5 is out nov 11th, and cod6 has said to be released spring 09 but it will prolly get delayed until atleast summer.
 
haha wow i'm so glad i scrolled down i was about to just quote a kid and rattle off the same shit =p.

but word i have the Beta and i think its pretty sick really. the M1 Garand with sniper scope is basiacally a dragonov. but i agree so far it seems like it takes a lot more skill...except for the noob tubing..

and the glitch on roundhouse...
