How do all the people on here mess up their skis?

honestly, its not possible that so many people have shit break on them all the time. ive ridden many different skis, including AR5s, 1080s, MSPs, and 1260s, for over 30 or 40 days each, and urban as well with all of them, and never has an edge or base fallen out, only once has my tail delaminated, which was easily fixed, and my topsheets have never had anything more than superficial scratches on them. they are all still very ridable. Why are so many people on here fucking up their skis so easily?

it seems like more people do than it accually is. out of the 50,000 or so kids on this site, around 1,000 complain about break their skis everyear. do you hear anyone complaining about their skis being intact? you just never hear about it

youve rode that many skis for only 30-40 days each? and they arent messed up? why do you get new ones?

its called rails casing, overshooting and general abuse. by the way, 30-40 days isnt that much. i skied 80 days last season, and im on track for even more this season. alot of people on here ski 100+ days.

because alot of people are rough on skis and not smart, this is a worthless thread, a ski gets fucked up if you ski on thin snow, ride over a rock, clap your skis together on the lift, shit happens man

me and friends of mine were all trying to stand on our tips in the lift line and he just snapped his 1080s, i thought he was gunna cry

im pretty sure moguls are a pretty good way to fuck your skis up to. its constant slapping and flexing and the occasional rock on the backside.

yeah, but all the people complaining about broken skis say the've ridden them 5 or 6 times. i get new ones, because i can afford it i guess.

and rocks leave core shots, which are usually easily fixed, and if a person takes care of their skis, they wont get fucked up i think

Rails are WAY harder on your skis than moguls will ever be, moguls will only break down weak foam-core skis. Out of all of my skis, my mogul ones are in the best shape, and my park skis are in the worst shape by far.

i dont do anything out of the ordinary to mine. if i mess up my base i get p-tex, if i get some delam i put epoxy on it, and ive gotta bring them in to get some cracks fixed.

alright. that was just a theory.

o yeah nd all the kids that complain about breaking after 5 or 6 days are either terribly unlucky and need to get a warrenty deal, or they cant ski smooth at all.

i think the same, i was so reluctant to buy fujatives 1yr ago because i thought they were so soft they'd snap but all i've done is crack the edge and im 200lbs. My friend had last yr's STL's and he rode a shit load of pipe and you would not believe how much flex they lost! the just turned to noodles in 2months!!!

1. ive been on this site way longer than you, and have a lot more posts

2. most of those names are alias' or kids who never go on.

3. eat a dick

i have the invaders, they arn't broken, I'm still riding them, it's just that damn plastic topsheet comes off on everybodys. I havnt seen anyone that it hasnt happened at least a little bit to. I just tapped my bad tip down and I'm off skiing...

i skiied on my old 01/02 1260s for well over 100 days and I took horrible care of them, never waxed, never sharpened, didn't take care of a couple core shots. My binding ripped out once but that was no big deal. So I don't know what the deal is with so many people wrecking skis.

I think that there arent so many peeps breaking their skis, i mean, on the hundreds and hundreds of skis bought, only a small amount of these break, and if urs havent broken, then ur just lucky, a lot of peeps are in ur situation.

well i did some math...i slide well over 40 miles of rail last year so that might have something to do with it.
