How did you progress in park skiing?

practice as much as possible. the more you are on your skis the better you will get.

ski with people who are better than you. they will push you to learn new stuff and can give you pointers here and there.

do not be afraid to fall and be confident in your abilities

Number one, know all your tricks memorize your rotations, which can either be done by tramping, bridge/ cliff jumpin or straight up huckin tricks off a ledge. Then you hit the park and always remember to a) tell yourself to stop being such a Pussy and b) sack up mafuckaaa

What kinds of thing should a beginner do? like after being able to just slide boxes sideways and being confident going off jumps

Get enough people to stand around you and subtly call you a pussy, and you will do it. Other forms of shame also work.

Oh crap really? Like totally OMG yo. I'm gonna hurry up and put one up. Maybe one where I'm pokin my cheeks like some little Justin bieber fagalicious? I'm so on it. Thank you so much.

i did straight airs and 50 50 flat boxes for about 2 and a half years without even considering trying anythin new. I have no clue why, but last year I started doing 3's, switch 1's, switch 3's, 270's out, k feds, and bullshitting around the park

hah, pretty much this until you get old enough to grow a pair. And i ski sarcastically a lot and that seems to help. and makes things look steezy if you perfect it. also do 1 and 3 off of everything, bet you more confident while spinning.

I'm gonna fly to wherever the hell it is you live, Zimbabwe or some shit, and come to your hill, and follow you around yelling DO A BACKFLIP PUSSY

dope edit btw!!! haha

can i rep lmur by droping a small edit of me going hard in tha paint on some herban?

TO begin: - straight airs on jumps

- trying boxes and rails of all kinds

- riding switch as much as possible

- eventually 180s, 360s and 270 out

To progress:

- Work on doing any tricks any way (Unnatty, Switch)

- Try bigger spins, on bigger jumps

- Try 270 on, and all sorts of rail tricks

- Do tricks on urban style rails

To become good:

- Work on ariels

- work on style and creativity in rail game

A little something I used to do when I started skiing park, kind of a douche move but whatever : Before you go riding with a bunch of friends, tell them last time you went skiing you landed, lets say, a frontflip. Now we all know that when we are off the hill, everything seems way less scarier than when we are in front of the feature waiting to drop in. So it shouldn't be a problem being confident that next time you go with your friends, your are REALLY going to do a frontflip, only difference is this time, you won't be able to pussy out since you told everyone you already landed it (lets say atleast once).

A less cocky variation would be to just tell all your friends at school that next weekend, you are fucking doing it, and if not, you have to give everyone you told a small amount of money.

Film. I always go hard for tricks when I'm filming kinda makes me think well I dont want my tricks to come out crappy. So I better try some new stuff. And the best part all the crash attempts are on film!

I do what the Norwegians did thousands of years ago. I ski. It's relatively fun. Just keeping skiing. Don't worry about the progressing. Try new things when it feels right and do old things when it feel fun. That's the whole point of skiing. Have fun. Don't take it too seriously.

This best way to progress is to ski with people better than you.. even though they way force you to hit stuff you dont want to.. thats the only way you get better. S.L.A.B

Just gotta get over the scared factor, my first trick was cork three, then misty 7 then cork seven you just have to keep practicing and scare yourself every time you're out in the park.

Actually , this is kind of true. If you go in the park and take yourself seriously and eat it, it looks bad. But if you just go in there to have fun, and laugh at yourself when you get owned, it's a lot more fun.
