this kid (bernie rowsow, in the freeskier with olsson on the front) tought me when i was like 12 or 13. so how did you learn the fundamental building block trick?

everyone kept telling me to just keep looking. that's all i knew, throw your arms and keep looking. finally one day i just went for it, scared as hell, and landed it fine. i was like 'what the fuck was that? that's it?!?' the best was when i would go way too big, try to spin it, but stop looking and stall the rotation at like 90 degrees. man, that takes me back...

no one ever told me how to or gave any tips so i just kind of kept tryin em off a big whale cause my mountain didnt have a park back then. a few severe head injuries lader i figured out how to land em.

 
The only advice I ever got was from snowboarders: Look to spin. I didn't get it the first day. I went home and just practiced on ground rotations (using the look to spin trick ofcourse). Next day I was stoked and landed them without a problem.

I didnt really learn how to do a 360.. a pretty long while ago i was skiin with my friends, and since we were pretty young, a 360 was hot shit. He was tryin to pull one and couldnt stick it. I hit a small kicker and just spun until i hit. I luckily spun 360 and pissed the hell outa my friend. That was my basis for tricks.

 
i had i guy pay me 10 bucks once to teach him how to do a 3 and i realized that all you realy have to do is spin and the bigger you go the easier it gets.

 
i just hucked myself off a small jump also. the first time i wasnt used to spinning in the air so i stalled and landed a 180.

 
if you can do them on the tramp, then that right there is the basics. try it on snow, it may take a few trys, but you will get it. good luck

i threw it way too forward and did a misty with one ski then i started doing 180s but exagerated the arm movement and was like hey i could do a 360 easy so i diid it and couldnt believe how easy it was so then i did a rainbow rail and was happy

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)
 
i still can't do 360s............. haha, nah, i learned them after trying them for like a year (with a concussion on one attempt during that time) and eventually i just threw my little body off a small jump and landed my first 360. i was so suprised that i had finally landed a 360. i was stoked. and my brothers were so jealous.... haha

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?
 
I piled up all the snow within a 10 ft radius of me and piled into this like...6 inch hight 2 foot wide launch thing when i was 13. I hit it like 20 times...landing 270 everytime. Then when i finally did it....it was the greatest day of my life. Actually...i think it was the hardest trick i ever had to learn.

THe 1st one i ever did was because of an old school bro, name Jerrimia Shields. Fuck man there was a ghetto ass fucken table at Edelweiss, and he told me how to rap, a ghetto ass tech 12 i still use 2day, at first i was going small only spiining to da 360, but after about 10 3's ever off dis one table, i' strated going for the 7's, because the 540 was not invented yet, not many twins out there and shit, so ya, i went for it and i juiced it, period.

i just decided to try some 3's off this jump at mt. baker about 5 years ago and I was coming sorta close so I went to the car, got my bro to get the video camera and i stuck my first ever 3 on the next try.. the video was critical cos back then when i said i could 360 no one would believe me.. but i had the footy to back it up.

Started doing 270s on the wall of the pipe... then was almost too scared to actually try it off a kicker, until I saw my brother do one - after that good ol sibling rivalry got me through it (he was the first one to do all the spins and grabs - I am determined to be the first one inverted - if anyone has any tips on how to do this without a tramp, and without killing myself I'd love to hear them)

small powder jump. 'Just spin' is what my snowboarder buddies told me. Never had problem gettign around to 360, just landing on my feet. I was pretty stoked on it.
