How did you get your poles?

It's not the laziness thats wrong here, it's the entitlement.

"Heyo imma gonna steel dese lil kidz pols rite here n no1 gonna say sheet cus i own dis hill"

One time at bear mtn I forgot poles so I went to the lost and found and said "i lost my poles". the person behind the counter was all, "im going to need more information than that". i returned "black scott poles about yey long" *held up hands*. From under the counter he pulls out a pair of poles that matched my exact description. ended up using them all season.

moral of the story: everytime you go to a ski hill, hit the lost and found and pop off the most generic ski pole description you can think of, 50/50 you go home with a new pair of poles.

Go to information center, ask to borrow poles for the day, don't bring them back, replace baskets with $ signs, replace grips with bike grips, good to go :)

Don't buy ski poles

So you and your friends stole poles out of kids hands while they were at lunch? OP is a thief. And somehow stole poles, from kids holding poles, while eating.

i just think it's plain embarrassing for the creator of this forum, seriously you stole them out of a kids hands at lunch! It's a fucking little kid you probably scared the shit out of him you cunt, seriously are you that much a dickhead that you need to steal poles from a kid. I remember when my poles got nicked from outside mid station when i was skiing, seriously who needs to steal poles! get a job you bums

I won my poles at a Level 1 premiere. For you Colorado ski bums, if you go up to the base of Peak 8 on Breck at like 11pm, there are always poles left behind on the ski racks. I don't know why nobody picks them up and puts them in the lost and found.

Don't steal kids fucking poles. For all you know you could be stealing another NSers poles that he paid for. I had my poles stolen at Canon mountain last season and it pissed me off. Luckily a friend of mine had an extra pair cause otherwise I wouldn't have bought any.

If you're a ski bum who HAS to steal ski poles cause you don't have the money to buy them, steal rentals, don't steal from someone who might be in the same situation as you and not able to purchase a replacement pair.

ordered some joysticks online. before that i always just used whatever i could find though and cut them down to size.

went to the sugarloaf dump and found some Kastle poles from the 80's, cut em down to jib poles and put on some other retro grips I found. Got in trouble for not having baskets on them while I was at Lost Valley (pretty lame lifty called me out), so they gave me some shitty ones from the rental shop.

there i was, sitting on the crescent structure they call "chair" with a cpu in my lap. I went in the inter web and bought pole.

Rental poles left behind outside when it's after 7pm are fair game. Big mtn everyday riding I'm with blue, jib/bump skiing I rock greens.

I don't typically ski with poles, but when I do its with a random pair I found in the back of my car that nobody has claimed, or a pair I found at the bottom of my lift that sat there for 2 weeks so I figured they were up for grabs.

well the last pair of poles I got were some line pin poles that the CO Line rep literally threw at me to take. lol

Unlike most of you park rats I actually USE my poles and thus need a telescoping pole for touring. Can I get away with using rental pieces of shit? Sure, but it sucks.

Also OP if you've ever skied powder (unlikely judging by the rest of your ignorant posts about stealing kids poles) you'll know you need/want powder baskets, and a pole that fits you. I'm 6' 3" and need a big pole. You find me a free one and I'll use it. Or if you know how to use the internet you can get them for pretty cheap.

I lost my poles at my local mountain and proceeded to go to lost and found. I said, "hey i lost my poles do you have any?" The guy pulls out this giant barrel of poles, then asks me if they are in there. While I was looking I didn't find mine, but instead found some sick armada poles. Ended up saying the armada poles were mine and walked home with a brand new pair of armada poles. Pretty cool i'd say

older guy in his 50's (I know the guy. He is a 20 year old kid stuck in a old mans body) found the kid (about 18 years old) skiing with them down towards baker lodge at sunday river and said they were his and refused to give them back. Kid got punched in the face and he took his poles back while public security watched and didn't do a thing knowing that the kid deserved what was coming to him.

so i had a pair of poles that i found one under the lift and one in the woods they were a nice pair of line poles that i gave to a student cuz i didnt use them. my park poles are my younger cousins that he out grew and my pow/work poles are pole from when my mom was a kid

I watched this old lady yard sale on some ice from the ski lift. She went down pretty hard and she still wasn't up when I got down. I grabbed her poles which were a hundred hards up from her body and skied down to her but she was crying and yelling at me. I skied by ignoring her begs for help. I broke them that same day

I havent got new poles in a couple of years. I still have the same ones from when i was a kid. My mom bought me some ski poles and i was stoked to have them. I had a sick day. I went to the lodge for lunch and then this big fucking fat gaper steals my poles right out my hands. I never saw him again to this day.

I had used the same poles for like six years, just bending them back whenever damaged until i snapped one in half on a jump. I went into my basement one day and found a pair of poles from around the 60's when my parents used them growing up…..thats the story of my ski poles

Had a dope pair of Scott's that cost like $85 back early high school, broke one. (I actually just cut down the other one by 10 inches haha).

Used a variety of old poles that were in my garage. I got a $25 gift card to a shop from my sister one year for Christmas and bought the Armada poles that have the really good grips (most of you know which ones I'm talking about). Used them for a while, mostly on pow days but stopped using them because little shits were trying to steal the grips every day.

Started using junior gs poles with giant pow baskets this year. They were dope until some dick decided to use them and lost one of my gangster baskets. Probably not going to find another old school pow basket to match so those poles are backups now.

I just cut down my old expensive remaining Scott to the length of my remaining Armada and now I have two mis-matched poles with good grips.

-End-

10 bucks for 2 sets of bamboo poles at a thrift store is what im gonna be using this year but previous years were winning them, and rental poles. the head rental poles are solid

I go out during junk day, grab a bunch of poles, cut them all down and put bike grips on one, then throughout the season if I Ben a pole, I just swap it out with a fresh one......unless OP doesn't think that is cool enough, then i stole them from orphans, deaf ones...

We stay at a sketchy old ski club and theres a room in the back where ski stuff goes to die. We call it the Grave Yard room most of my poles come from there, pink k2 repeat ones where the best. Also if we had poles we didn't like we would steal ones we liked from the ski rack and put ours in there place.
