How did you find out that santa wasn't real?

my bitchy aunt told me when i was like 5, i didn't really believe her, then i found some presents and recognized the wrapping paper and realized that santa's handwriting was the same as my mom's....this was all at like age 6 or 7

i knew all along because my family opens presents on christmas eve not morning so the whole story never really made sense to me. i remember spoiling it to a few people in like kindergarden and how everyone would be in denial and so sad, i'd get in trouble by the teacher or their parents.
