i'm sure this sort of thing has been posted before, but since i don't really care:

how in the shit did hibbert get sponsored, get invited for his own segments in movies and qualify for the x games (which i did not get to see the qualifiers of). in watching his brilliant segment in forward, his ungodly horrible skiing ability has led me to question how he has scammed the newschool arena into letting him become a pro skier. can hibbert do anything? is he good, ever?

first of youre a jackass. second, he finished most of the rails he fell on, and completed most of the tricks he fell on in forward. he just takes soem spectacular falls. berman realized (correctly) it wowuld be humorous to make a segment of all his best crashes over the years. anbody that has the balls to take the falls he does and then get back up to try again deserves sponsers.

 
not to seem bluntly obvious but his part in forward was meant to be a joke, scott hibbert is an amazing skiier, watch any movie with him in it or just watch comp footage..... he deserves everything he has come by and you dont deserve to live, the end.

man ive been to that quad kink personally, watched my friend try it, and i tried the last kink on it. after seeing my friend (psychicskier) try the whole thing like 15 times and only get up to the third kink, ive gained a new perspective on scott hibbert. he tried it hundreds of times unsuccessfully. HUNDREDS. do you understand the beatings that the rail gave to him? but he got it in the end, just like the dude above me said, and guys like olenick and spence didnt. thats why he is one of the best and ballsiest in the game.

um, how about the fact he is one of the first people to do 12's in the pipe, is one of the best grinders in the world, and has one every single minor competition he has ever entered. Not to mention the fact that he has been part of snow-jam, one of the most exclusive contests, and won his fair share.

man, all i have to say is that the proof of him being one of the best lies in the fact that he has been invited to the x-games, world superpipe championships, and the whistler invitational. and he podiumed in whistler. he is just an unlucky guy when it comes to most major comps, thats all.

JD i just choose to be critical of skiers just as others are critical of other professional athletes. i think theres too much blind love for pro skiers on this site. they're all good but the bar has to lie at some level.

If you're makiing a ski film,and shoot a lot,you usually get a lot of bails on film,by ALL the athletes. You could make a section likes Hibbert's to anyone. EVERY skier has had their share of bad falls,but I think Berman really showed the people how hardcore Hibbert is.

It would have been even better to see like four or five of the sickest tricks he bailed in his section nailed in the end. That would have crowned it all..

He has a point though, I mean I'm the first to say ''Dan Cloutier blows goats'' when he fucks up in the playoffs... we all criticize other professional sports people, so why do you hardly ever hear anything bad about skiiers? And when you do, it's always the same ones, moseley, tuffelmeyer etc.

Maybe there is a bit too much blind love for pro skiiers; they can screw up too. I wonder why this is...

in forward they just happened to show alot of his bad falls. he doesnt fall ALL the time. He just is a good skier, who takes more falls than other people. Just because you fall sometimes, doesnt mean you suck...

He is insane, his crashes are hillarious. Go pick up Balance, Second Generation, or other Level 1 films to see how hudge he goes and how hard he crashes. I would have to say that he does not have the cleanest style. His crahes have defianately helped him get sponsored
