How can you buy Show and Prove?

If you have seen Pop Yer Bottelz, how can you even consider buying Show and Prove. Throw out all of the g style and club stuff, that doesn't even matter in this decision. So many of the shots in PYB were so sub par it was funny. Like the inrun to Pyramid with maybe Tanner, he goes out of frame and it looks like the filmer has parkinsons. The cinemtography is just plain bad, it looks like they bought B roll shots that other movies wouldn't run. The editing was also considerably bad, if you were drunk or high while doing it then it is fine. But to actually pay someone to edit that, that is amazing. I would want that job. I just don't see how you can buy a movie, for money, when the last one was aesthetic vomit.
 
maybe the way they edited it was just that editors style of editing and maybe the filmer was going for more creative shots.....besides intros don't always show you the full clip, its almost a teaser to get you stoked on the movie.
 
I am not talking about the teaser, I am talking about the video they had people pay 30 dollars for last year. If that is their "style" of filming fine, but they shouldn't make people pay for shakey ass, poorly angeled, in general sub par shots. And maybe they have brought in a new editor that can actually edit and have a flow, instead of disjointed poor thrown together, ass crap.
 
Clipping together is not an editting style its more of a level. And if it was a stytle then its just like skiing, if your style sucks no one wants to see it. The filming shots, were not creative. I would like to hear how you think they aretho. I mean they had so much pow its rediculous, its like they are trying to make up for people making fun of them. Then They put themselves at the start, so modest. But honestly, there are rails like that in our video section on NS Vanular was sick tho. CR did like a 10 foot switch 3 what the heck? and like 7's off 25 foot cliffs? Here in bozeman you see that crap in local vids not that different from that. In the end. I think its a lame representation of what they could do.
 
i actually havn't seen the movie so i was more of just putting ideas out there to why maybe the shots were "bad" and the editing was good
 
agread with the 7's in that deep of powder that would be easy by 9 year old brother would 3 it. infact 10's wouldnt even be scary but you have to admit there were some pretty technical tricks.
 
^^^well see then the tech tricks were pretty much only tranner, and that part was filmed like crap. I mean have you seen like David benediks ski video 91 words for snow. Holy Shit. Thats a riders movie

Well I believe if you go to there website or any other website that carries ski movies you will be able to buy it via Credit-Card. But first you have to remember, SAFETY FIRST! make sure the site you buy it from is "HACKER SAFE".

Uh, who cares if it's creative. This is skiing, creativity isn't allowed. It's all about stealing from as many different sources as possible, and basically remaking any snowboard movie from 3+ years ago, but with skiers.

Show and Prove will fucking kill it, just wait.
 
its official this snowblader kid is gay! PYB was a dope as hell, it was a little short but it was totally original in about every way imaginable making it hood as fuck.. its just a different style than most other ski vids but its the style most of us are incorporating into our riding today PYB = fresh and current so deal with it fagblader... i'm looking forward to show and prove as one of the top 3-5 movies of the year.
 
When I watch PYB I just put it on mute and listen to electronica through my headphones because the music is sooo annoying. It was gay how there was a bunch of crappy snowboarding too. bah.

but you can't diss on some of the shit they do though, cause tanner fucking ripppp'd
 
its just a teaser...

they spend real time on the actual movie.. teasers are just meant to wet ur apeitite... the movie quenches... just wait for the flick.. could be good.. could be bad.. just dont diss the whole movie cause of one shot.
 
PYB was pretty sick. I enjoy watching it, I liked the feel of the movie. It wasn't about being the best movie out there it was just guys making a movie. It represents them and I liked it
 
i think i'd agree with you 100-percent if I'd made the effort to see PYB. i didnt even have the motivation to do that, though, so my opinion is unfounded.
 
I think show and prove will be different from pyb. They will make a completely different movie this year. I don't see why you would decided not to buy it completely on your judgement of pyb.
 
It is like the saying that a 1000 monkeys on typewriters can write Shakespeare's complete works in 10000 years. Well a monkey with final cut pro and 45 minutes could have made PYB. Or he could have just flung shit at a DVD-R and it would have been equally. But by all means, go spend 30 bucks on Show and Prove. Just don't come to me when there is a bunch of B roll busted shots and editing by some one who was too high to know what was going on.
 
You're still not considerin that tanner and the bigger picture maybe decided to change their style and make a different movie, and you're assuming it's gonna be the same movie as last year, which it won't. You aren't even giving them a chance, which is sad. Nice alias by the way.
 
Um, it's not the same people behind it....notice the name of the director at then end....then if you're old enough take a journey back into your mental ski history and thingk Chapter 3...and think about CMP.
 
It is not "creating a new style" when they just rip off tech nine movies. It is taking a shitty style then times it by more shit, in the end it is shit squared. If this were again shit on it would produce PYB. You all keep telling me to "just wait", I will wait. When you guys see it you will know that your 30 dollars was taken from you and basically in the end someone took a dump on your chest. Do you notice the shit motif? It is a style I took from The Bigger Picture productions. I will let you guys in on a tiny industry secret here...The only reason Tanner started his own film company was because none of the existing companies could make a movie as shitty as tanner wanted, so he made his own.

Haha, plus, regardless of the quality of the movie....Tanner's footage is my favorite. year after year. something about him and his riding and the idea of it all makes his segments my favorites.

I can't wait for his shit this year, after a little bit of a off-injury year. Stoked.

So yah....I guess some of the best riding and just over aspect of it all is super shitty and gay and lame and shitty and lame. Get my homosexual shit motif?

Your views are biased because you have this huge boner for Tanner. Oh my god a new director! Holy balls, that will change so much. I will give you that Tanner is innovative, he will progress his movie to be shittier than last year. What will do to do that? Maybe edit it on windows movie maker? Use an all Lil BowWow soundtrack? Take away the filmers tripods for all the shots instead of just some of them? Only he can progress styles into something shittier, I have faith.
 
Hey, you know what'd be really cool? If TBP just called it "Ski Movie 4" or something equally cool...ya, that'd be sick. Maybe we can get some shots of old guys ripping the "medium mountain" and throwing tricks like genie grabs...hey, 1996 called, they want their grab back, as well as their tight pants and lack of style.

Actually, I'm waiting for MSP to retitle this year's movie to "Shown and Proved", much like the year they decided to title their movie "Focused", months after T-3 announced that they were releasing "Focus".

What does this have to do with anything? Nothing. I hate MSP, I find TBP movies to be much more interesting to watch, not to mention more "stoke factor", and I basically think your'e a douche bag.
 
I am not saying MSP doesn't suck, they suck donkey balls for a living. But even they wouldn't rip off show and prove, they know it will flop and that TBP will slowly go out of business as sponsors pull funding in the coming years for a subpar product.
 
if they can get people to pay 30 bucks for it, more power to em!! Congrats to their marketing department!! I most certainly didn't buy PYB and I most certainly won't be buying Show and Prove, but they must be doing something right, so good for them.
 
all of you honestly should be quiet, your all sitting here trying to figure out how ski films can be better, the athletes could perform better and blah, thats what competitions are for, athletes at that caliber dont have to use a video to "explode" like a new comer, and think about it, most of you are probably way to lazy to go out there and couldnt yourself find a new way to re-create something your whining about, most of those athletes are out there having fun, and look how much more style they have when they film, i know when i'm skiing i just do whatever i want, when these guy's arent competeing they are almost always filming or traveling, and thats how they get to just ride and have fun, if you dont find it entertaining find your own way to make it better, i would venture to say most of you probably wouldnt even drop a 25-40 ft cliff, let alone throw a switch 5 or seven off of it, i know i havent...and it takes mad skill for cr to get back out there and be skiing at all anymore, our sport is about having a killer time, no matter how they edit, ski, or throw down their tricks, its there way of doing what they love, NOT YOURS, if you have a problem with it dont be lazy and do something about it, or just shut up and find your own thing that you love and go with that, and let people be whom they are, and do what they do, i have mad respect for all athletes and film-makers they all gotta start from nothing and grow a company from roots and put up with all the new schoolers crap, and everyones so called sorry opinion, for what ever we do, we've all started somewhere, and have to grow into what we love, so instead of whining about what someone else is doing, focus on yourself, and what you love...
