How can I prove that someone stole from me?

So in English class yesterday I had my iPhone and beats wrapped around it in my backpack. A kid sitting next to me took it out of my backpack and stole the beats. I didn't see him take the headphones, but I did see him toss my phone back into my bag. I didn't really think too much of it because he does shit like that sometimes. Later that day I discovered my headphones were missing and I had no idea where they went. I searched everywhere and came to the conclusion that this kid stole them. Other people in my class confirm that they saw him unravel them from my phone. I have confronted him about it and he still denies it. Do I have enough proof to go to the school about it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
right now it sounds like you have 0 proof. you need to either:

find him with the headphones and prove that they were yours.

or find a video of him taking them.

or beat it out of him.

besides magic i cant think of any other ways to win in this situation.
 
You have other eyes which is proof enough for the school. Take it to them, what's the worst that can happen, you don't get them back? Fuck that kid.
 
if you have multiple eye-witnesses then you have a case. Happened to me and got the kid to give me money for it since he sold it to someone else, karma is a bitch

Seriously though, I would pull a bluff and talk to him again and say you have a witness that saw him take them and if he doesn't give them back you'll go to the school about it.

If that doesn't work, cut your losses and don't go around him anymore with nice shit.
 
Do the bluffing and say the police are getting involved and they have witnesses and the suspect has a day to turn himself in, at my school they did this when some kids stole 5 ipods and some phones.

I hate it when people take your shit (wallet, phone, iPod) then give it back. There's some little shit in my grade who does this. I'm always paranoid for this exact reason. But really, other eyes are proof. Threaten to tell administration.
 
Your first problem was purchasing over priced mediocre headphones. In seriousness though, talk to the administrators.
 
Why leave your $500 iPhone in you backpack around hundreds of grimy dirtbags, you're lucky you only had headphones stolen but if people saw him do it I'm sure the faculty will do something about it. From now on keep your shit right in your pockets or don't bring it at all. In high school one of my buddies left his iPhone in the locker room and some little hoodrat stole it and they saw him walking around on the cameras an now the kid has to give him like $20 a month until his broke ass can pay it off. People's stupidity really amazes me
 
Additional details: He had already taken my phone from my backpack earlier in the class period as a joke and made me go around the entire school looking for it. Everyone in the class knew about this.

I am 5'6 115, he is 6'3 220 so beating his ass isn't really an option.

 
Hire a hitman/assassin/bigger friend to beat him up/kill him. That'll get yer headphones back fer sure! P.s. 700th post!
 
The thing is I have friends who could easily kick his ass, but I dont want to start shit like that. Obviously, turning him in to school will start shit in itself but that is better than just having someone beat him up because that will rarely get your shit back. It just makes getting your shit stolen feel better.
 
Yeah man I hear you. I'd say the best thing to do is to maturely and respectfully confront him, possibly with a few friends on your side, and get him to fess up, assuring him of no hard feelings. But then you have to report him. The kids who get away with stealing little things are the ones who grow up to steal much bigger and more important things
 
Seriously, this. If you're going to bring Beats to school, just wear them on your neck all the time. That's the reason you bought Beats anyways right? Because they're cool? And keep your damn phone in your pocket. Every time I see a guy leave his phone in his backpack, I want to smack him.

I see you missed the thread I made the other day explain how HIGH SCHOOl is spelled. You go to high school or you went to high school. How the fuck do you not know how to spell it?????

 
That sucks man, looks like you are out a hundo. I've had 3 friends get beats stolen from them because they are so popular (not unique), expensive and easy to sell. I'd suggest not buying beats again. Hope you get them back though

why didnt you say something when you saw him throw your phone back into your bag?

"hey why did you just have my phone? my beats were wrapped around them now theyre missing, can i look in your bag?" if he denys then he obviously took them...
 
You really should care. It is a very easy word to spell correctly. I bet as much as you say you don't care from now on you will spell it correctly!
 
You most likely won't believe me but I know that it's spelled high school and I normally spell it correctly. I used to think it was until I had to write a paper in word and it told me highschool was incorrect. Sometimes I slip up and spell it wrong
