I have a set of 05 public enemies. They are kickass skis but the top sheet keeps getting nicked, and its bad. Most of these nicks can be blamed on bastard snowboarders on the goddamn chairlift. Unfortunately since i can't always avoid going up the lift with snowboarders i kinda need a way to protect my skis. Got any ideas?

well, if its just in the top it really makes no difference. They wont look as pretty but they'll still ski just as good.

i have the 04 enemies and my top sheet is pretty messed up, but its just the top sheet so i got over it. its really no big deal and im pretty sure trying to fix it will just make it look worse.

its just the top sheet so it doesnt matter. the new public enemys have a p-tex topsheet so they most likely wont have the same chipping problems that the current PEs/seth pistols have

i dont give a fuck about how they look i just wanna keep them in good condition. Theres one nick where you can see the wood and those are the ones i care about.

When the snowboarders lift up their boards in their hands. THan they drop them. thats a lot of force and combine that with sharp edges....

nah if you get a scratch that goes to the wood, go out and buy some epoxy (super strong glue, you can find it at like k mart or somethin) and just cover the wood up with that, trust me i've done it with my mn's it works like a charm, don't just fill in any scratch though, only if it's to the core, other scratches don't matter

they'll get chipped, they're skis, get over it and stop blameing snowboarders and brag about them, say u were doing a huge as mute or tail and shit. it's cosmetic damage and does not effect the way the ski rides so it doesnt matter.

SO HOT RIGHT NOW.

yeah chips are no big deal, but if you chip to the core and water gets in, it could warp the core, so you're gonna want to fix it up. until you do fix it though, put the skis by a heater so the core doesnt' warp

You all say that scratches don't matter (and your right that it doesn't effect performance) but non of you seem to get the fact that he doesn't want scratches, thats why he's asking for advice. I've thought of coating the entire topsheet with p-tex or maybe a hard laqeur.

big whoop wanna fight about it?

ya i have mad trix,, and i have one nasty chip on the side of my ski but i dont care any more,, u get over it,,, just fill it with something if u want it to look good

unfortunately there is no way around the chips...just gotta deal with 'em
