what k2 lists is MSRP. they also tell shops what the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) can be. Sites like evo use this to make it look like there is a sale even though its that price everywhere.

We sell the poacher flat for $489 I think. With a griffon, install, poles and tune for $625. Gotta stay competitive in todays would with the evos, als ski barn and the like.

yea. evo has a physical storefront so they can get around some of the verbal agreements. years ago all the brick and mortar stores banded together at sia to try and stop the big discounts these online dealers give mid season. really tough now a days to keep local ski shops open.

It's call map vs msrp. Guarantee physical retail shops are selling at the map price as well. For those not in retail MAP is minimum advertise price, they can't/ should be selling below that price until a determined date. After that date all bets are off and you can sell below MAP

yes. that is true. K2 does in fact make special graphics for big box stores. an example of this is the AMP Strike.

The skis are def the same. Online places are generally cheaper where smaller places are generally closer to msrp.

I try to buy stuff in shops but they never carry stuff in my size and a few times I was going to order stuff through the shop they didn't want to order it or it was going to take way to long.

I did buy my last pair of boots from a shop though. They happened to have some in my size.

In line product should be the same price both online and in smaller specialty shops until around mid February where retailers are free to change prices. Actually small specialty shops are where you can often find inline product for 10% off or so in season since they can do so as long is it is not advertised.
