How Big Till U're Nervous

im a huge pussy when it comes to jumps, in the beginning of the year i was scared to try to clear a fuckin 20 fotter but it was mad icy now. i usually ski were the gaps about 15-20 ft so i wont spin anythign over 25ish and i get nervous straight airin shit about 35+

It depends. Jumps with really tall take offs scare me alot. If the take off is only 4 feet or so off the deck than I am pretty comfortable up to about 40 or 45. After that I probably wouldnt spin it

i could 360 a 60 footer before i start to get butterflies. hitting like 80-90 i would be scared, probably hit it after some time. anything larger, i doubt.

im workin on getting better and bigger jumps. i jus dont wanna undershoot or have my board nosepress and kill myself.

i'm nervous hitting 45 the first time usually (especially if i haven't seen anyone else use the jump), cause i don't know how much speed i need or where i need to straightline from. after the first time tho it's all good. the 60 was closed today at my hill (the tester tucked from the top of the park and landed just before the knuckle), but i dunno if i'd do it anyways.

yeah everything is wicked sketchy. they actually "fixed" the lips today (they made them really steep and even more messed up) but they did change the last hip.. its pretty fun

thats what i was thinking

and the kid who said 60 west 50 east is def on the ball, a 60 foot jump out west never seems too big, but a 50 foot jump on the east always seems huge...

and where has anyone seen a jump bigger than 80 on the east?? the biggest i know of is sunday rivers air hill at 80, and mt snow had an 80 footer last year too

Ive hit 60, so 65+ would make me nervous, but so would a 7 on a 50ft, it it really depends, doing a straight air is all just ballsing up and doing it.

hit a 75/80fter at mammoth last spring. i straight aired it twice and wouldnt hit it after that. alot of the scaryness had to do with the inrun because it was so rutted out, but nevertheless the airtime was scary...

althoguht i wouldnt do it. i think that would be fun to have that much time in the air just tweakin teh shit outa some random grab or somthin.

A lot of times-- it's more freightening to throw a straight air of slow, stalled three over a 60 footer-- than it is to throw a 720--- when u throw the 7--- u're too busy spinning to realize anything else

60-70 man you guys are lucky, the biggest table ever at my hill is the 45ft, not scary, thr trick is scary, i can do 5's an 7's off the 30 but to freakd still to do to much over the 45. but cause of the lack of jumps we got some good rails, i can slide pretty much any park set up no prob.

rails don't really scare me because you have to commit or youll die... You can always hesitate when your in the air trying a big spin

75% of the kids who say 60 on the east coast are over estimating, they are really at most 45. Brecks biggest right now is maybe an actual 65 70 and that is much bigger than anything in the east.

umm it's not normally hitting big jumps that makes me nervous. I mean say Im guinea pigging a 60 footer Id be nervouse enough but ussually its doing tricks and stuff on big jumps. Ussually around 50-60 feet is when it starts to get pretty intense. Some jumps are different though.

when i started doing like real sized jumps i was realy scared cuz i kept knuckling but once i starting landing like way down on the landing i realy don't get scared of big jumps, unless they're high speed, i wud do a low speed 80 footer over a high speed 60 any day

thats true... the biggest jumps at wv and loon are like 45 50, except for air hill at sunday river which is around 75 80, i dont know of anything even close to that size

It takes a jump to scare me, even if I'm not in my right mind hitting it, a rail wont scare me. Jumps over 30 scare the shit outta me though.

yeah that part was pretty fun. especially with slushy spring conditions, you landed and it didnt even feel like you ever took-off. but it was still scary looking down on the heads of people standing on the deck, thinking "shit im high right now".....its surprising how much goes through your head in however long it takes to clear a 75 footer.
