only rails make me nervous. i ALWAYS get the feeling i'm going to wash out, or dig my skis in the front (if there's a gap). it very rarely happens, but the second before hopping on, i get terrified
its gotta be a combo though...doing a 3 over a 30 isnt gonna be bad although a 3 over a 70 may be a bit scary...i actaully kinda had a epithany about 2 days ago and learned to just huck shit on a 40 footer"...feels good not to be scared of what trick you are doing over what sized jump.
not one kid on this thread who is talking about 60+ footers has a video on their profile. do you kids know how big a 60 footer is? some people need a dose of reality in their lives. if you are hitting 60+ footers, lets see some shit.
i think most of the people who are on this site a lot are actually pretty serious skiers. most of us have been skiing since we were 2 or 3 years old. just because people dont have videos doesn't mean they've never thrown 60 feet. 60 feet is pretty huge, but certainly not insane for most people here.
ive never hit anything bigger than 45, but thats because my mountain never had anything to big. i prob wouldnt spin off anything a whole lot biger than that if any
i'll strait air any jump out there, but spinning and doing tricks is what makes the adrenaline flow. Id say it gets a bit nerve racking at about 55-60 ft
im always nervous the first time i hit any new feature. well with a few exceptions. like downsizing is fine but anything that is differnt that is greaterthan or equal to whats at home base im nervous to hit first try.
im really bad at judging speed and thats what scares me most more than size of the jump im always scared ill case it on anything over 35 or land on the flat on anything less
small tables make me nervous, because i tend to cork my tricks alot and on small tables i get fucked. big tables are less scary because i have more time to flow through my tricks.
whats even worse is sometimes when i kno i have to go realy fast for a jump but my instincts say slow down ur gona over shoot and i seconf guess my sleaf
well ive only hit a 45 footer because thats the biggest ive ever seen. but i was a little nervous because it was first year and all but i think iwould go up to 50-55 feet without getting that nervous
