How big is your personal movie collection?

Hmm, I probably have about 50tb of movies and tv shows. Give or take a few terabytes. Yeah I have alot of shit.
 
I knew some nerd friends who are at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. (That's like the Nerd Capitol of Europe) and they made a massive server with around 150 TB of storage filled with movies and shows. It's all funded by the Uni, and the extremely fast internet they have allows me to download any movie within a minute or so.

 
parents have a bunch of blurays and i have fuck all on my computer. i just hit letmewatchthis.com for any movie or tv show im feelin up to watching..
 
I have about 15 films which I bought, and I just bought 5 more on amazon.

I'm currently in the process of buying every film Tom Hanks has ever starred in. I like Tom Hanks... alot.
 
I assure it's bullshit. I pretty much have every film made in the last 50 years. A torrent site I know(all high quality and doesn't have multiple copies of the same thing) I wrote a program that automatically downloads a new torrent when uploaded.
 
I'm not believing or disbelieving just yet (since if I recall you're the pentester and are probably tech savvy enough for this to be legit), but if you are indeed speaking truth and not bullshitting, what do you use for storage? That would seemingly be several thousand dollars worth of NAS devices or some sizable expensive server.
 
Why yes. Yes it would. It would also be WORTH EVERY GOD DAMNED PENNY.
Seriously how awesome would it be to be like "I have every movie ever. Oh you want to watch that? I dunno, only 6 people have even heard of it so it might not be OH HERE IT IS."
Two questions.
First, why stop at the last 50 years.
Second, does that mean you also SEED every torrent that's uploaded??
 
My storage of movies is really quite a mess because they're stored all over the place. I do indeed have some sizable expensive server. But I have thousands stored on several external hard drives. But my business is computers. So spending several thousand dollars on storage space is not as extreme as it may sound. I don't really have any movies on NAS decives I think only DAS.
 
That's sick. Like the other guy said, it would totally be worth it, you're just the first person I've heard that actually has the shit necessary to store that much data. Wish I had the money to do something like this, but I'll have to wait until I graduate.
 
That's my whole movie collection right there as your travel size haha. Honestly though, as cool as it is, there's a lot of movies I wouldn't want, but either way, having just about everything anyone would ever want to watch would be pretty awesome. Where do you get your torrents?
