yeah you really cant go wrong with looks. salomons are a different story, but honestly its alot less of a deal then it sounds like. because racers guys often use salomons because of the weight, so the shop owner (for example) or usually racer employeer will know what you want if you say they are pre releasing and need to be set right to your boot. watch him while he does it.

some common sense and some tightening of screws and they're fine, I've had mine for over five years, which is how long the warranty lasts.

They aren't going to hold you in as well as a turntable will when landing flat because the downward pressure is less on a heel binding than on a turntable like a p12 of power 120. But I know plenty of people using them and they have some of the best side to side retention out there if the wings are tightened corretly.

That damn downward presurre.

You don't know what your talking about. Turntables are worse in everyway except for that they give you some more elastic travel which made up for their shortcomings. The elasticity is why people love them, not because of their amazing ability to apply downward pressure.

s912s are fine aslong as you do the credit card trick when you adjust the toe wings. (Put cc under the boot, ontop of the afd pad, then adjust the toe wings to sit right on the boot toe, then take the cc out). Locktite them if you want.

^That's the word I couldn;t come up with elasticity...thx. Sorry it's still early and that's all I could come up with.

haha salomon makes a special credit card thing for that exact purpose

I'm not sure if anyone said this but, the wings loosen alot, so all you have to do is put some lock tight to keep them snugg.
