How are jumps measured?

It should be from lip to knuckle, but as you can imagine, it varies widely. Some measure from lip to sweetspot, others from beggining of jump to knuckle, etc etc. You get the point.

Ya there is a big ass jump in Whistler that someone from the parks crew said was 80 ft but it doesn't seem that big.

Yea, I think it was last year or the season before, on the left side of the park they had a table/step-down they claimed was 95ft or something, but was really more like 75-80.

Numbers should be taken with a grain of salt, ride by and suss it out yourself. Different types of jump can feel bigger or smaller, regardless of number.

some resorts exaggerate their jump size to get people to travel to their resort instead of others. it's all about the money!

Lip to the knuckle. Usually right on the curve. where it's not flat but not steep. then you have to go the extra foot or two to land clean and 10 ish for the sweet spot
