How about a critique?

Only need a critique on the first song only. The second one was already posted up a few months ago, but will take some tips if you have the time!

Some obvious flaws with some colors in the shots, but think it turned out well.

3rd edit I have made.

+K for help!

enjoyed it! I love edits that tell a story like that, only critique is re-do the intro voiceover I like the script but its a little to dull if you know what I mean.

completely know what you mean. it was a little to staged now that i realize it. pretty bland to. oh well.

thanks man!

it was cool! the only thing i can say is that there were a few repetitive tricks in there, overall it was good, but i would agree that i found the voice over cool, but his voice was really dull

The only reason it was long was because i needed a video at least 5 min long for a contest. Otherwise, it would have been about 2 and a half or 3 minutes only. Thanks for the input!

Really good! I loved the shots and the into at the beginning provided a nice story line. The script is a little dry, maybe try re-recording the narrative agian. Otherwise, very good!

watching right now, first thing I noticed was you should flop the shot at :45 so that it makes more sense with the direction the truck goes out of frame in the shot that it is leaving your driveway. Hope this makes sense...

looks like a fun trip! I like the filming and editing, I would check your white balance on a bunch of your shots though and match them a bit better. nice work

completely agree. that was actually the shot i was originally going for, but fucked it up by keep panning with the truck to far down the road.

as for the white balance, This is a span of about 3 or 4 months of filming. Tough to keep the colors right when pretty much every shot is different. thanks for the input!

+K to everyone. keep the critiques coming

Liked the edit, the song really helped set the mood too. But as said before the talking sounds kinda like an elementary school poem recital.

just use a simple color correction tool in whatever editing program you are using to adjust the white balance.

(EX: 3 way color corrector in FCP)

I know, but it still doesnt really look the same. i tried my best with the color corrector, but just doesnt provide the same image as if it were all the same in camera
